American Intelligence

@AmericanIntel_

America's digital agora. A special place where the realists, iconoclasts, and visionaries meet to answer one deceptively simple question: How do we control AI?

The AI age will define the next century of American power. We just launched American Intelligence to shape it, not fear it.

Excellent piece by @rjhauman. Cheap labor serves as a release valve on the pressure that would otherwise drive firms to invest in productivity enhancing tech. This dynamic is clearest in agriculture, where foreign — often illegal — labor has been used as a crutch.

"The Right often talks about building a worker-centered coalition. Agriculture is where that idea could actually take shape...[but]...America is preparing for the AI age everywhere—except the place that feeds the country." @rjhauman @NICEnforcement on Agricultural Intelligence👇

Great piece from @rjhauman in @AmericanIntel_ today. “The United States will not lead unless it dismantles the cheap foreign labor regime that has allowed agriculture to skip the last revolution while pretending it is ready for the next.”

Strong essay from @realmfoster AI holds incredible promise to actually have real reindustrialization across the US. It is time to empower those building our future to succeed. Love this new @AmericanIntel_ site by the way. Great forum for discourse on intersection of tech and policy for conservatives.

For years the Right has called for reindustrialization. Now the digital world is meeting the physical and it’s time to build a worker-first coalition around growth, production, and opportunity. Read @realmfoster's piece on why it's time to forge a worker-centered coalition.👇

I wrote about how too many people were celebrating the decline in data center projects this year in @AmericanIntel_. It comes from a fundamental misunderstanding of why and how Americans benefit from infrastructure expansion.

Good write up by @AidenBuzzetti today on how treating the recent wave of data center delays as a victory for ordinary people is a fundamental misreading of who actually loses.
