The appearance of contradiction between the absolute sovereignty of God and the free will of mankind is perfectly acceptable to the believer. Job 40.6-9: “Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm: Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me. Would you discredit my justice? Would you condemn me to justify yourself? Do you have an arm like God’s, and can your voice thunder like his?” The philosopher believes that he can understand everything. The believer knows that he is a simple creature. Isaiah 55.8-9: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

If God knows everything past, present and future, He is all-knowing. If God knows the future, He cannot change it, therefore He is not all-powerful. If God knows the future, we do not have free will. We cannot be punished for our choices if they are not in fact choices.

@rirokpik God made me and loves me, it's very nice of him to do that, he didn't have to. Bad things happened in the bible too. God never promised the world would be sunshine and rainbows, he made it very clear that we would face hardships. Have you read the bible?

God did not stop slavery. God did not stop the Holocaust. God did not stop 2 World Wars. God did not stop the AIDS crisis. God has consistently failed to stop all natural disasters and tragedies.
