@AmicuriousJ @DoctorPerin Oh no, it's not an affective reaction, I'm perfectly prepared to entertain the idea - that should be clear from me asking what your preferred flavour is - it's just that you're not doing a very convincing job of selling it.

Melania has every right to defend herself and her family. And suing people for defamation, opportunities which the President has passed up measurably by the gross, should not be your primary concern. Why don't you focus on all the academics that have been crushed by craven administrators that have tenure longer than four to eight years?

They have no idea how much this scares the shit out of normie parents. All my kid's girlfriends are changing their names to boy's names and none of them are actually gay. You would not believe the amount of counter programming I have to engage in just to keep things semi normal. These people have something seriously wrong with them.

Bill Maher: “You need to hear that other side. You need to be checked. People need to be checked. Including your little girl.” David Cross: “F*ck that b*tch. F*ck that little b*tch with her black friends and tr*ns friends and not even understanding.” Bill Maher: “Tr*ns? Wait, [your daughter] has tr*ns friends in third grade?” David Cross: “Yeah.” Bill Maher: “They know they’re tr*ns in third grade?” David Cross: “I think just turned 9 [years-old]… Just the coolest kid.” Bill Maher: “[Is the child transitioning from] girl to boy?” David Cross: “Girl to boy. And she has another very close friend who’s not in the school, but who’s boy to girl at 3 years old.” Bill Maher: “A woman said, ‘I was what they called a tomboy. If I was alive now and acted the way I did then, that’s what they would have done to me.’” David Cross: “Well, nobody’s doing this to her.” Bill Maher: “Well, I don’t know.” David Cross: “Literally nobody is doing this to her.” Bill Maher: “How old?” David Cross: “Either 8 or I think 9.” Bill Maher: “Okay, then somebody is doing something because 8 or 9-year-olds can’t do anything on their own.” David Cross: “No, they’re buying them boys' clothes.” Bill Maher: “Well then, they’re doing something.” David Cross: “Sure. Yes, you’re right. They’re buying them boys' clothes.” Bill Maher: “And telling them you’re a boy now.” David Cross: “No, no, they’re not telling them. They’re just agreeing with [the child].” Bill Maher: “Agreeing with an 8-year-old. Because when has their judgment ever been off at 8?” David Cross: “You knew you weren’t g*y, right?… It’s not different.” Bill Maher: “It is different. Good luck with President Vance. Because, as I always say to my woke friends, we voted for the same person. You’re just why [Kamala Harris] lost and this is a case of that.” David Cross: “Wait, what?” Bill Maher: “We voted for the same person. You’re just why she lost. Because America hears this, and they’re going to go, ‘Bill’s right. 8-year-olds can’t really make decisions on their own like this.’ That’s what most people are going to say.” “This is why we’re going to vote for JD Vance... That’s America in a nutshell.”

that we are completely biological machines and any act or feeling we have stems from some biochemical mechanism we cannot control. We are either reacting because of our genes or because outside influences have affected us in a particular way because of our genes, neither of which we have any metaphysical control over. Basically if you were given a moral choice, say to kill someone, whether or not you were going to make that choice is totally reliant on what genes you were born with and if you did not know the outcome of that choice, run over again you would make the same choice over and over and over again if all else was the same. You cannot control that. It's totally moral luck.

@AmicuriousJ @DoctorPerin Don't believe in free will in what way? In a "we are no more than the sum of the operant conditioning we have been exposed to" way, a "the universe unfolds mechanistically" way, an "all is ordained by a higher power" way, something else?

.@benshapiro discussing how the American people should pursue this specific principle above all in a live speech at the @uaustinorg. @benshapiro: "See, the thing about the way the American government is built is that it was built to really pursue one fundamental principle above all." "And it wasn't even freedom as much as Epistemic Humility. Because freedom is rooted in a certain level of epistemic humility." "If you think you're always right, then you might want to be a tyrant because you're always right." Watch the full speeech here: youtube.com/live/fJb5aEJ8F…

The USA position on the Falklands has been "neutral" for about 170 years. Nothing has changed during the Trump Administration. One person in the Pentagon wrote a memo. That is not White House policy. Until you hear something new from Trump or Marco Rubio, calm down.

@MattWalshBlog The best part is that it was at correspondence dinner, and the left wing media, at least for a few minutes had to face head on the terror of an individual they themselves radicalized with bullshit.

@wyatt_claypool No, Americans have almost zero protection. This all started with Canada and it ends with Canada. The fact that, after decades of NAFTA failures, the USA finally seeks defensive pararity does not make Canada a victim.

To which the Americans could say “put our milk and poultry back on your shelves.” You see the problem here is that it’s a stalemate and you need to figure out a deal where both sides will have to give up some protectionism to get back to more fulsome free trade.

@justalexoki Our clothes are all dryer safe. And no one has time for this nonsense. We don't have a two hour siesta in the middle of the day, we have to put in all that overtime to pay for rent and NATO... apparently.
