I’ve had my eye on this enhanced version of Omega Pilot for a while! I hope it’s coming soon. I can never have enough Wipeout-style futuristic racers in Virtual Reality. And they are smart to make it a hybrid game. Someone can play on the TV while someone else is playing in VR!

@RoccoVR4Player @AmigaGuruBlog @javier078 Literally, owning the game is so much better pay once come back anytime with no extra fees to replay the game. Subscribing is better if you really will play through all different games

More than 1.2 million players have added Plants At War to their PSN account on Playstation. I would have never expected reaching so many people with my silly games but it feels like a massive accomplishment, even though it's freeware.

Capcom's 194X series is a classic line of World War II shoot 'em ups, primarily starring the American P-38 Lightning aircraft. Designed with Western markets in mind, it was a commercial success. The core arcade titles can be seen below. "1944" was rotated 90° to fit (because it isn't "tate mode" like the others).

Oh and i am not so sure i would call Soft Eyes and Tem hoi the same team, as Soft Eyes lived on for years upon years and made their last Amiga game in 1996. Team Hoi'd last Amiga game was in 1994. That said, they did share same musicians and graphic artists for multiple projects ( but never the coders ).

@JSBlackFrost84 Why would anyone delete their psn and lose entire decades worth of library? Also people announce such things to put pressure on Sony.

@Mundo_RPG_ Ironical enough, not a single one of thousands of friends and followers quit their PS+ sub. Where is the proof that what you're saying even happened. As for COD, was it not always planned to be a PS+ campaign since its been free on both pc and xbox for over a decade?

BTW, if the XBOX division is scrounging for loose change under the sofa cushions, I’m still willing to put up a $1M guarantee to allow @TeamBeefVR to commercialize the legacy open source games on VR.

I have been trying to find something meaningful to say about the Id Software layoffs. My “Microsoft will probably be a good steward of the brand” statement isn’t aging well, and this is certainly going to dampen the mood of the founder reunion at QuakeCon next month. I’m saddened, but I can’t muster anger or outrage over it. I don’t have access to the books, but I suspect that Id Software was a marginal business from Microsoft’s perspective. I believe the reports that Minecraft revenues have been carrying several other studios. To continue being produced long term, games need to succeed, not just be beloved. Games are competing with every other option for spending your leisure time and money, and the competition is brutal. You can’t rule out the possibility that executives are idiots, but that shouldn’t be your default belief. I don’t think there is any obvious path that would have doubled the revenue from Id games. Could they have gotten more with a different pricing strategy? Could they have created more things for fans to buy? Could they have cost effectively marketed in a way that reached more players that would have loved and bought the games? Could they have changed the game designs and broadened the appeal to more players without alienating existing ones? Could they have produced the games at a lower cost, faster or cheaper? I really don’t know. The game isn’t over yet, and I hope the studio rallies through.
