Let's be honest about what's actually happening here. ❌❌❌❌ Everyone is rushing to post about this like they just discovered sin. But two things are true at the same time and nobody wants to say both out loud. Yes the person who recorded and leaked that video committed a serious crime and deserves to face the full consequence of the law. That is non negotiable. But also what happened between them before the recording is not something anyone should pretend is rare or foreign to the North. We all know what happens behind closed doors, in marriages, outside marriages, among the educated, among the religious, among the influential. This happens everywhere in Nigeria. The only difference is who gets exposed. The influencers rushing to post this with outrage while carefully avoiding any mention of the act itself are not protecting anyone. They are performing. Using this girl's pain as content while pretending the context doesn't exist. Protect the victim. Prosecute the offender. But drop the pretence that this is shocking. It isn't. The only thing shocking is how quickly people perform innocence when a camera is pointed at someone else.
