A Zimbabwean man was kidnapped in Johannesburg by fellow Zimbabweans, who initially demanded R90,000, which was paid. According to reports, after receiving the money, the kidnappers demanded an additional R50,000 before releasing him. The victim was eventually freed yesterday after a total of R142,000 was paid. Sadly, he was badly tortured during captivity, he was beaten and burned. It’s heartbreaking that such cruelty exists among people living far from home.
