@seunonigbinde Hopefully your Governor doesn't throw spanner in the works like he openly opposed LG autonomy. He's reported in recent past to attack BAT' State Police reform. Hopefully you can practise charity at home by holding your Gov. accountable not to sabotage this one when need arises

This is overdue. Now, we must ask big questions. The composition of the state police service commission (it could do with less federal nominated persons and allow more independent institutions) could be better. I also believe the State CP should periodically account to the public in how his powers are exercised. It could be a periodic forum or electronic document appraised by independent bodies. Getting a relatively uniform state legislation with basic principles is next piece of work.

The Senate has begun manual voting, clause by clause, on constitutional amendments for the creation of a State police.

Sustained wealth happens when you have a community thinking together. The key person who is visibly wealthy only achieves that wealth because others also have skin in the game and propel them for their benefit. I am not engaging in "trillionaire worship" like others, but what was instructive about the SpaceX IPO was that the cafeteria workers and janitors at the same company also became wealthy. That is a bigger deal than anything else. I hear so much talk about founders and investors in African entrepreneurship, but what nobody tells you is that the people who also became wealthy are the people who supported the entrepreneur and the enterprise with work. Decades ago, I discovered that Dangote's depot operators, when he was selling commodities, were also Naira billionaires in their own right. They didn't need to cheat him to get wealthy, as most misguided people believe employees should do; they had an arrangement that made all of them wealthy. Dangote took the financial risk while the depot chiefs took the operational risks. I see this same dynamic in many supply chains in Africa. My wife's aunt's 70th birthday in Accra last year was attended by all the key FMCG players and traders who worked together in an ecosystem that they all profited from. Aliko became rich because his family learned about this model long before anyone else did. He benefited immensely from it, and he is passing this same ecosystem-building approach on to the next generation of his family. This aspect of African entrepreneurship is rarely discussed. People want to hear grass-to-grace stories or miracles. True wealth in reality is built by communities and ecosystems that work in sync. I will be talking about it a lot more. I survived surgery yesterday, and I am grateful for another chance to keep doing this.

Alleged N2b Nigeria Air Fraud:   How Sirika Allegedly Used Ethiopian Airlines as Fake Nigeria Air-Witness   The 12th Prosecution Witness, PW12, Christopher Odofin,   in the trial of the former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Abubakar Sirika, on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, told Justice S.C. Oriji of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT,  High Court Abuja, how Sirika allegedly passed off an aircraft belonging to Ethiopian Airline as that of the promised Nigeria Air by the government of the late President Muhammadu Buhari.   The decoy aircraft, adorned with the livery of the promised Nigeria Air, found its way on the tarmac of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on May 27, 2023, being three days to the expiration of the tenure of the Buhari government and was flown back to Addis Ababa in the morning of May 29, 2023, being the handover date to the successor government.   Hadi Sirika is facing prosecution by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on amended six-count, bordering on alleged abuse of office and misappropriation of public funds to the tune of over N2 billion, alongside his daughter, Fatima Hadi Sirika, son-in-law, Hamma Jalal Sule, and Al Buraq Global Investment Limited.   The contract for the setting up of Nigeria Air was awarded to Tianaero Nigeria Limited, belonging to Gabriel Tilmann, a close associate and friend of the former minister.   Reading from a portion of contract agreement with Ethiopian Airline, the witness, an investigator with Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC said “The aircraft will depart from Addis Ababa (ADD) late evening of May 26, 2023 for it to be positioned early morning of May 27, 2023 at the Abuja (ABV) airport. The aircraft will stay in ABV airport for static display of Nigeria Air livery until May 28, 2023. The aircraft will leave ABV airport early morning on May, 29, 2023. The chartered flight will be operated by the Ethiopian Airline crew in Ethiopian Airline uniform. The Federal Government of Nigeria and Nigeria Air may put together local models who will be in Nigeria Air uniforms to pose for ceremonial pictures. The models may come to Addis Ababa so they may fly with the chartered flight to ABV.”   The witness told the court that the display of the aircraft in Abuja International Airport was deliberately planned to coincide with the end of the first defendant’s tenure as Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development on May 29, 2023 and to pass the aircraft off as the actualization of his promise of the return of Nigeria Air. After the less than 72 hours display of the aircraft, he stated that the Nigeria Air logo was removed from the aircraft and flown back to Ethiopian Airlines in Addis Ababa.   The witness further disclosed that the investigating team was also able to ascertain that Ethiopian Airlines entered into a charter arrangement for the static display of the Nigeria Air livery for a duration of just three days, beginning from May 27 to May 29, 2023 based on information and documents received from the airline following a letter from it, dated June 12, 2023, in response to the EFCC’s request for information regarding Nigeria Air. And that though the purpose of the contract was for the establishment of Nigeria Air, the charter agreement with Ethiopian Airlines was entered on May 24, 2023, five days to the expiration of the defendant’s tenure for just a static display of the Nigeria Air logo on an aircraft.   All the documents tendered in evidence by the prosecution were shown to have been duly signed, authorized, and accompanied by certificates of identification and were not objected to by any of the counsels to the four defendants. Among the exhibits is a compact disk containing a voice note from the first defendant, Hadi Sirika, marked Exhibit 37, which the prosecution counsel applied to be played in the court at the next adjourned date.

If you have never been to the Oke Ogun area of Oyo state, you will think Southwest is safe. It’s not safe, Infact this might be the beginning of a cataclysm. Our political elites are not equipped for what is going to happen to us. That axis is like Zamfara state for the past 30 years. Illegal miners, undocumented aliens, religious extremists and poverty is full blown in that axis. A time is coming very soon that our political elites will turn our vigilantes into full blown paramilitaries in order to secure Yorubaland.

@mog_dayo I am just curious, sir. 1. Do you know how RRS works or is funded. 2. Do you know how much money the Lagos State Govt spends on RRS alone? 3. Do you want Lagos State to add Amotekun to their expenses when they have just spent billions on Neighbourhood Corps in 2016

Two truths can co-exist. 1. All South Western States (excluding Lagos) passed the same bill into law to create Amotekun. 2. Lagos chose not to create Amotekun for reasons best known to them. For the record, you mentioned that "Aside from Lagos Police Command... We also created..." 1. Rapid Response Squad. Fact: RRS already existed in several other States and is still NPF & NSCDC in some States (Not indigenous) 2. Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps. Fact: Not licensed to carry any arms, just a baton and torchlight. Not even close to Amotekun. 3. Lagos Constabulary Officers Fact: Created by the NPF, constabulary exists in all States under each State Police Command. 4. Lagos has a Separate inter-border control team with Ogun State Fact: Manned mostly by Nigeria Customs. Nothing indigenous about it. 5. Lagos has a strong collaboration with Amotekun for inter-border operations too. Fact: I believe you meant Lagos NPF collaborates with Ogun Amotekun...right? No further comment.

LAGOS Asides Lagos Police Command We also created: - Rapid Response Squad - Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps - Lagos Constabulary Officers - Lagos has a Separate inter-border control team with Ogun State LAGOS has a strong collaboration with Amotekun too for inter-border operations too.

To the good people of Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II, My commitment has always been, and will remain, service to our people without discrimination, bias, or division. Leadership is not about pleasing everyone at every moment, but about making decisions that create opportunities, improve livelihoods, and deliver meaningful development to our constituency. Over the past two years, I have remained focused on people-centered representation through healthcare outreaches, youth empowerment, educational support, infrastructure projects, and economic opportunities for our residents. I understand that in public service, scrutiny comes with the responsibility, and I welcome constructive feedback. However, I urge us all to rise above sentiments that divide us and focus on our shared goal: building a stronger, more inclusive, and prosperous Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II. My doors remain open to every resident, and I will continue to work tirelessly in the interest of all. Together, we move forward for a new Nigeria that is POssible✌️

I'm seeing APC supporters saying, “A lawmaker representing Oshodi-Isolo II in Lagos sent 18 people to China; 15 of them are Igbos and only 3 Yorubas.” I'm very sure the Igbo guys will come back from China and use what they learnt for the growth of Lagos and not Anambra My question is: What are the remaining 23 legislative members from Lagos State doing? Atleast someone is sending people to China 🤷🏿‍♂️

Great IFE@TheGreatestIFE

PRESS STATEMENT: ODUDUWA HALL NOT AVAILABLE FOR PETER OBI’s LECTURE — OAU The authorities of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, wish to clarify the circumstances surrounding the proposed lecture by His Excellency, Peter Obi, at the University. The general public is hereby informed that a particular group within the Students’ body extended an invitation to the former Presidential Candidate and two-term Governor of Anambra State to deliver a lecture within the University premises. The University authorities were not duly informed of the status and calibre of the invited guest until Friday, just a day before the scheduled programme. It is important to note that events involving high-profile personalities of such standing require adequate prior notification to the University authorities because it will enable the institution to make necessary logistical and security arrangements, including proper liaison with relevant security agencies such as the Nigeria Police and the Department of State Services (DSS), in order to ensure the safety of the guest, members of the University community and the general public. Consequently, given the short notice and the attendant inability to complete these critical arrangements, the University authorities could not approve the use of Oduduwa Hall for the event as requested by the organisers. The decision was taken purely in the interest of safety, orderliness and adherence to established protocols governing the use of University facilities, adding that it is not, in any way, a reflection of disregard for the person or status of His Excellency, Peter Obi, whom the University holds in high esteem. The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Adebayo Simeon Bamire is, and remains committed to supporting intellectual engagements and hosting distinguished personalities, provided that due process is followed and adequate notice is given. Members of the University community, students and the general public are therefore enjoined to always comply with laid-down procedures in planning events within the University because we all are partners in progress for the overall development of the University.
