@thecableng Sir @ChidiOdinkalu Amendment process from NASS to 36 Assemblies, back to NASS for harmonization&then Prez assent. Then states still have to domesticate these bills in their assemblies b4 implementation starts. How possible all these can happen b4 Jan elections? 🤔. I'M SHOCKED

"As I speak to you, states are rolling out preparations to deploy state police. I have just one demand and one suggestion: Is it possible, or can the administration simply say, 'We will not deploy state police before the next election'? Because if you're rolling out state police between now and the next election, it is unrealistic." — Chidi Odinkalu 🎥: @Themiconshow

@British_Airways @jawilbu It seems getting a refund from BA for a 3rd party ticket is now rocket science. Despite 3rd party airline confirming they canceled my flight and my right to a full refund. Corporate avarice eh?

@British_Airways New EES system in Europe. You will need to do better with check-in’s. Can’t check bags 2.5 hours before your flight…reasonable, until the EES queue is 2 hours long and you have one person working the check-in counter. You need to do better #Venice airport

Leaving Kuje Prison after being unjustly incarcerated by the failed traitor to the Nigerian people, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his regime. Prison has never broken the resolve of those who fight for justice. If anything, it only strengthens our determination. The struggle continues. We will never surrender. #RevolutionNow #Sowore2027

Have no horse in 2027 elections. Historically been against Atiku & PO & my reasons remain sacrosanct. My preferred candidates are not on any ballot (PYO/BRF).😂 Amaechi I would have supported, but he is not the front-liner. Won't be voting , won't be in Nigeria. Goodluck to all

The unfortunate thing about this tweet is not the information it contains, but the reasoning behind it. The question is not whether the Asaba–Benin Road is under reconstruction. The question is whether government is prioritising scarce resources in the most effective way. Nigeria is borrowing at record levels. With limited fiscal space, shouldn’t our first priority be rehabilitating and maintaining critical infrastructure that millions of Nigerians already depend on before embarking on projects whose urgency is still being debated? If dozens of strategic highways remain in poor condition, why should anyone be criticised for asking whether government priorities are in the right order? Look at Lagos today. Parts of the city are underwater, not simply because it rained, but because years of inadequate maintenance and poor infrastructure planning have left us in limbo. This is exactly why maintenance should never be treated as an afterthought. As a Special Adviser, public communication should elevate the conversation, not reduce it to personal attacks. Don’t be a stupid guy, Segun. Stop embarrassing my country. Strong governments answer questions with evidence and reason, not by questioning the motives of those asking them.
Daddy D.O🇳🇬@DOlusegun

I don't know what to call this if it's not mischievousness. I am sure Mr. Obi knows that this same road is currently under reconstruction, but his daily need to romance his gullible audience pushed him to this wall of deceit. Facts About the Reconstruction of the Asaba–Benin Highway: >>Timeline: The reconstruction of the 125km Asaba–Benin highway was flagged off in March 2025, with an expected completion date of September 2027. >>Funding: It is fully funded under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. >>Scope: It features a 10-lane carriageway (five lanes on each side) spanning from King Square to the Benin bypass to ensure smooth traffic flow. Additionally, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration is currently executing the reconstruction of over 70 federal highways and strategic road projects simultaneously. These developments cover all 36 states, including major legacy highway corridors, regional superhighways, and targeted bridge reconstructions. Some of the key linking roads currently undergoing reconstruction include: - Abuja–Kaduna–Zaria–Kano Dual Carriageway (350km). - Kano–Kongolam Road (132km). - Ibadan–Ife–Ilesa Road (103km). - Sokoto–Gusau–Funtau–Zaria Road (275km). - Enugu–Port Harcourt Expressway (56km). - Benin–Asaba Superhighway (125km). - Keffi–Nasarawa–Toto–Abaji Road Phase II (129.3km). - Enugu–Onitsha Expressway (72km). - Calabar-Ebonyi-Benue Trans-Saharan Superhighway: (Section 1 - 123km) This is an eyewitness account of the state of the Benin–Asaba road project around March this year. I believe honesty is simply not in Mr. Obi's dictionary.

@Amosbaba09 @seunonigbinde Is it possible for state house of Assembly to give state police just like that? Without FG first completing the process at Federal level constitutionally?

This is overdue. Now, we must ask big questions. The composition of the state police service commission (it could do with less federal nominated persons and allow more independent institutions) could be better. I also believe the State CP should periodically account to the public in how his powers are exercised. It could be a periodic forum or electronic document appraised by independent bodies. Getting a relatively uniform state legislation with basic principles is next piece of work.

Do you know that in 2022/2023, if Obidient influencers and their bots saw that you were supporting APC, they would go about insulting you and sending emails to your workplace so you could be sacked? They would even tell your work colleagues to be careful with you and stop interacting with you because you supported President Tinubu. 2022/2023 was a very funny period. They would even insult you and call you all sorts of names just because of politicians who wine and dine together. They are the worst thing to ever happen to our political space in Nigeria. Even some so-called friends who knew nothing about politics would join them to bring their friends down because of an election, just to silence them. @woye1 @egi_nupe @WOkene @Jamesbisodun @ennyola0015

@tokunbo_wahab @GRVlagos You are a Real Madrid fan na the only reason I dey beef you be that sir . Apart from that I no send Chinedu Gbadebo Patrick @GRVlagos and whatever he represents. Dear @GRVlagos As opposed to the repeated criticisms and remarks directed at my person by a few irrelevant individuals, I take your own clarification as confirmation that there is no issue with being addressed by any of the names you have now personally identified. Fair enough! Since assuming office as Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources in 2023, we have introduced and implemented several far-reaching initiatives aimed at improving environmental sustainability and public welfare in Lagos State. These include the execution of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with international partners, the prohibition of materials that obstruct drainage channels, the removal of illegal structures and contraventions impeding the free flow of stormwater, among many other interventions. Of course, we agree that more still needs to be done, and we remain committed to continuously improving our systems, processes, and interventions to better serve the people while we welcome constructive contributions and feedback from well-meaning Lagosians, whose insights play an important role in helping us achieve our shared vision for a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable state. Interestingly, at virtually every stage of these reforms, you have consistently found reasons to oppose or criticize them, even when they have received broad commendation from stakeholders and objective observers. This approach mirrors the exact disposition of your political mentor. For the record, several of the MoUs signed by the Lagos State Government are at the implementation stages, and in the coming weeks, Lagosians will begin to witness tangible outcomes from these strategic partnerships. We are confident that these initiatives will deliver significant benefits to the state and its residents. Constructive criticism remains an important part of public discourse. However, it is equally important to acknowledge progress and commend worthwhile initiatives when they yield positive results. A balanced perspective serves the public interest far better than perpetual cynicism. Aburo, come down from your imaginary high horse. There is so much to learn, and to learn, you must be humble enough to acknowledge and admit your usual ignorance. Cheers!
Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour@GRVlagos

Typical. So typical of the APC. Once they lose the argument, they retreat into hate mongering, ethnic slurs, and divisive rhetoric. The names are Gbadebo, Chinedu, Patrick RHODES-VIVOUR, Take your pick of any of the three and let's focus on the work you were entrusted to do. Wahab, I hate to be the one to tell you this, but not only have you been the worst Commissioner for Environment this state has seen, you have also been one of the most irresponsible, unbecoming occupants of public office. Again, you are not fit for public office. As I told you in 2024, for the next couple of months try an DO YOUR DAMN JOB!!! Ẹgbọn If you cant , you should resign. Today.

@AbiolaAdebisi7 Lol. I'm fan of Ambode but his waste policy is a disaster! Do you think one coy(VISIONSCAPE) can competently manage waste disposal in Lagos a city of 20M+ people & 13K waste generated daily? How is that possible? Especially a coy that just started same year with no experience.

This is one of the reasons why Ambode was booted out of office because he was fighting the cabal that got the contract for the evacuation of waste in Lagos state. You guys left competent people and decide to reward party loyalist with the task of evacuating waste and by so doing you can't complain when they are not doing there jobs. Almost all government officials in Lagos got the job all because they are APC members not because they are good for the job but they were employed to do. Padi Padi government na him una dey run.

The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) Intervention Team has successfully cleared heaps of illegally dumped waste from the median of the Egbeda–Idimu Road and Lawanson, Surulere corridor. The Authority used the opportunity to reiterate its warning to residents, traders, and motorists against the unlawful disposal of refuse on road medians and other unauthorized locations, noting that such practices obstruct drainage channels, degrade the environment, and pose serious public health risks. LAWMA urged residents to patronize only approved waste collection services and comply with environmental sanitation regulations, stressing that violators will be sanctioned in accordance with extant laws of Lagos State. #CleanerLagos
