I’m paying over $1000 for 6 months of car insurance for 3 vehicles, one of which is an old Chevy S-10 that receives a low-mileage discount since it’s only used a couple times a month. No teens in the house. Clean driving history for both adults. We’re subsidizing illegal, uninsured drivers.

This is why insurance is a scam. I paid $60 bucks years ago for an xray. I paid cash because it was an expense item. Throughout the checkout the clerk kept reminding me I have great insurance and could pay $40. The $40 was 20% of what they would bill insurance. So they were going to bill insurance $800.

The hospital doesnt pay the insurance. She pays for it. Its her asset. Its her contract with the insurance. The hospital has no legal standing to do anything without her permission. She must have gave that permission earlier by the usual insurance forms, and by saying that, she takes it back.

@MatrixMysteries It's a violation of their contract with each of the health insurance companies to allow people that have insurance to be charged as self pay. Also, you don't qualify for the self pay discount if you have insurance of any kind.
