I normally do not post to social media on the Lord’s Day, but the unspeakably evil intrusion of a leftist mob into a Christian worship service today in Minneapolis must be called out for what it is—and Federal authorities should be fast and effective in response.

This seemingly throw-away quote below conflates a legitimate function of government with an illegitimate one, and serves as a valuable window into the minds of Marxist Democrats. You see, government is wholly incapable of providing efficient healthcare for all of its citizens, but government is legitimately quite good at international relations, treaty negotiations, national defense and the like. Economists call this the distinction between "private goods" and "public goods." Government is quite good at the latter, and quite incapable of providing the former. The inability to grasp this distinction is an essential characteristic of all forms of totalitarian governance.

If government were capable of fixing the problems it creates, we wouldn’t see the same cycles repeating under every ideology, party, and nation. At some point you have to admit the issue isn’t mismanagement, it’s the design.

There are two separate list prices to end the "homeless" problem in America. One is the price if you are willing to call bums, tramps, and hobos what they are — bums, tramps, and hobos. That price is a lot less than $20 billion. The other is the price if you insist on calling bums "homeless". That price is infinity dollars. Because you can't solve a problem, no matter how much money you spend, until you understand what they problem is. If you call a guy "homeless", that means you think the problem is that he doesn't have a home. But the problem isn't THAT he doesn't have a home, it's WHY he doesn't have a home. He doesn't have a home because he is incapable of the basic life tasks you have to do so that you have one. So buying him a place to lay his head won't fix anything. It won't make him less addicted to heroin. Or less schizophrenic. Or less antisocial and unable to sustain the basic human relationships necessary to have a job or an income. The problem isn't that they don't have things. So you can't fix them by giving them things. It's that they can't do things. So what you have to do is stop giving them things so they have to fix themselves. And if they can't, you physically remove them from society so they can't bother functional people. And if you're not adult enough to be willing to do that, because you can't stand looking mean, then you're not adult enough to be trusted with $20 billion to "fix homelessness".

Cost to end homelessness in the U.S. is about $20-30 billion.

Except that Jesus didn’t call for the government to do any of those things. He called YOU to care for the sick (out of your own compassion and your own pocket, not the pockets of others). He called YOU to provide food to the hungry (from your own pantry). He called YOU to pay a laborer his wages (what you agreed and know to be fair, not what the government says)
James Talarico@jamestalarico

Some politicians say they want a “Christian Nation” until it comes to: Providing healthcare for the sick Funding food assistance for the hungry Raising the minimum wage for the poor They want to base our laws on the Bible until they read the words of Jesus.

This story hits home for me. I met this family about a year ago, and it's hard to put into words how much this hurts. God truly puts certain people in your life for a reason. When Jeff and I first got chickens, we knew we needed a livestock guardian dog—specifically a Great Pyrenees or a mix—but we couldn’t afford the typical prices and didn’t know anyone local who had them. Then we found the Spencer family. They had Great Pyrenees mixed pups for only $50 each, and we made the 3.5–4 hour drive to their farm. It was one of those rare places where you can just feel peace...surrounded by beautiful animals, including their turkeys. Aaron and his family were incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. We originally planned to get just one puppy, Leia, but they insisted we take her sister too because it would make their adjustment with us easier and smoother, at no charge. They even checked in on us later to see how the girls were doing and to help us with any questions. I hate what's happening to their family right now. Aaron Spencer exercised his God-given right to protect his daughter, and now he’s being punished for it. He did what any good father would do—what any decent human being should do. He was the one who handed me Luna, with a big smile on his face and the weight of the world on his shoulders during all of this. That’s the man I remember. Please keep the Spencer family in your prayers and support their fight against a corrupt system. Because at the end of the day, we only have each other. Givesendgo link is in the comments.

Gay registered sex offenders can buy a baby via surrogacy, but loving Christian families can’t even foster. Our nation will answer to God for this wicked injustice if we don’t put a stop to it soon.

It's the viciousness of imaginary "future crimes" of children from them that gets under my skin the most. No mercy for any of these people. Have mercy on our children by removing them from any positions of power in our society.

Everybody is pissed at the left about the trans mass shooter. A few days later everybody is even angrier with the crazy black dude killing a girl after they let him out 14 times and the left covers for it. So what do they do next? Shoot the guy who politely debates college students. I've tried to warn people about the left's knob vs. the right's switch, but they're too stupid to listen. Pray for our country.
