@ValliantRenegad Let's hope so, sir. The Minecraft movie proved that studios don't even have to make an effort at all. While it's been proven historically before, it's always depressing to see the bar drop precipitously. The film industry has a storied history. Consumers need to expect more.

‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’ plays like a standalone, pulpy science fiction space romp. It might not push Mando & Grogu’s story to new heights, but it definitely reinforces their incredible bond. It was nice to just exist in the Star Wars universe for 130 min without expecting or waiting for big saga-defining lore drop moments to happen. It’s a great experience in IMAX GT, and I think it will be equally great in 3D.

@TheCinesthetic Ooof... Damnit, Jim! We're actors, not Woodsmen! Matt Damon MOST probably means: physical difficulty, production scale, technical demands and psychological strain It shouldn't be hard, but Nolan pushes practicality over CGI, so I believe it. The shoot was probably brutal.

THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU is...fine? An inoffensive, technically impressive spectacle that's kinda a snooze fest. Very much structured like an abridged season of the tv show which unfortunately plays like watching the cutscenes of a Star Wars video game instead of playing one. The expansion of the canvas unfortunately exposes the weaknesses in the writing and lack of emotional connection I've felt for much of the series. Favreau has the touch...if only someone else wrote the script. That being said, it's a nice return to the pulpiness and simplicity of the first two seasons. Ludwig is working overtime to deliver the goods. If you love the show, I'm sure you'll have fun.
