THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU is...fine? An inoffensive, technically impressive spectacle that's kinda a snooze fest. Very much structured like an abridged season of the tv show which unfortunately plays like watching the cutscenes of a Star Wars video game instead of playing one. The expansion of the canvas unfortunately exposes the weaknesses in the writing and lack of emotional connection I've felt for much of the series. Favreau has the touch...if only someone else wrote the script. That being said, it's a nice return to the pulpiness and simplicity of the first two seasons. Ludwig is working overtime to deliver the goods. If you love the show, I'm sure you'll have fun.

@SirSnipeyy It is by far one of my favorite shows made. And I’m not one to rewatch tv shows often but I’ve revisited this in its entirety a few times. It’s both a comfort show seeing characters with such convictions but also he tender and sincere. Just so well done

Other stories will come and go, but my mind will always fall back to this show. Andor is a reminder of the ones lost along the way in the fight for a better day, and remains a powerful reminder in this dark world that fighting for something greater than yourself can bring change.

Andor season 2 has only gotten better over time . If you’ve only seen it once, I highly recommend a rewatch. There are all sorts of connections you can miss the first time around.

i’ll never forget the emotions which filled me in this scene. star wars will always be about hope and the power of individual resistance. every ship is a person who rebelled.

@TimBobJoeBill @AvatarKyber Nah it was perfectly in line with Star Wars as is. Might be the best quality Star Wars production by far. So much care put into the writing and the portrayal of the empire and fascism. Mirrors a New Hope so well politically.

@dangermonkey77 @AvatarKyber I mean not really, sure may be a little nostalgic coded, but it still worked, those couple of episodes with Vader carry and are far better than what any of the other shows have to offer since that’s what people care about for Star Wars, the force and light sabers

Since everyone is posting their Teirlists. IMO, Star Wars has a lot of average projects that are over-hated. Only a few truly bad ones, but inversely only a few truly great projects too. So here’s my list:

The Imperial need for control is so desperate because it is so unnatural. Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear. Remember that.

@AHeartbreakSky Maarva saying to him “that’s just love. Nothing you can do about that” is one of the most sincere line deliveries in Star Wars. Truly beautiful stuff happening there

“I love you more than anything you could ever do wrong” 🤝 “Cassian will find us” 🥲tied for quietly being some of the most devastating lines in Andor given what we know of how each arc ends. 😭everyone has such a strong faith in Cassian, even when he has none in himself.

@jtimsuggs The best Star Wars project and it’s not even close. This has become a comfort show for me that I’ve revisited 3 times since it finish airing. So glad we had someone like Tony Gilroy handle a project

Once again thinking about how great of a series ANDOR was, and desperately am missing having new episodes of it to watch on a weekly basis. Every time I see a clip from it, it just makes me want to revisit the entire series all over again. Genuinely peak Star Wars, can’t believe it ended only a little over a year ago.

I think this is a great extension of The Mandalorian as a show but I also understand that may not be some people’s cup of tea (and they’ll be overdramatic on twitter dot com to let you know that).
