Per source, the resolution on Heat/Rozier today is the final development on the matter. There will be no more compensation beyond that for Heat..... Heat, Hornets, NBA agreed to 2nd round pick going to Heat (more favorable of Golden State/Denver 2nd rounder this year). Per source, Heat lawsuit was never an option; these matters, per the CBA, are settled inside the league... Hornets never told Heat they knew that Rozier was under investigation at time of trade but there was no specific NBA rule against that.... Heat will send lottery protected first rounder to Hornets in 2027. If Heat misses playoffs next season, Miami would keep its 2027 first rounder and send 2028 first rounder to Charlotte.

Two ESPN draftniks have Mauigoa falling to Miami at 11 for different reasons: Kiper has Giants opting for Utah OT Fano over Mauigoa, and thus establishes Miami as likely next possible spot for FM... Jordan Reid has Georgia LT Freeling shockingly hopping everyone (to Cleveland at 6) and thus leaving FM to Miami.. What a tough call that would be for Sullivan between FM, an SEC corner, one of 3-4 edges or a trade down for extra pick. Trade down OR FM OR Bain (if there) would be my choice in that specific scenario. Hard decision!
