The "one true churches" can't agree on transubstantiation and constantly argue who's is more valid. Protestants are just happy to be in the presence of one another in the name of Christ.

The church fathers were not protestant. The church fathers were not Orthodox. The church fathers were not Romain Roman Catholic. They were men who were imperfect that God used to preserve His church, like he's doing with us today. Let them be who they were. We all have things we both agree and disagree with in their writings. I guarantee we all would be considered heretics to them by some degree.

@UnseenPathways I was there. My wife and I stayed until the Icon left and we were given cotton soaked in Myrrh. The Akathist was powerful and venerating the Iveron Icon was something I’ll never forget.

If Jay Dyer is the reason why your church has grown more than it has within the past ten years, then something is wrong with your church. It should be growing because of people seeking Christ. The Orthodox Church is becoming more of a boys club rather than this place of healing like they proclaim.
