Happy Birthday to the General, who hated posing like this because he despised any aesthetic connected to Napoleon, who he did not respect. Yes, the General was living in Illinois and working at a mundane retail job in the period before the war, but the man who crushed the Rebel Army and was elected POTUS for two terms (despite asking that he not be nominated) was born and raised an Ohioan. U.S. Grant is a character in my only western (but not my last), a short story called BURNLEY AND THE GENERAL, which you can find in the first issue of STARLITE PULP REVIEW.

Crazy council woman Nithya Raman doesn’t care if homeless drug addicts are shooting up, defecating, and exposing themselves to your kids right in front of their schools. And when moms object, she rolls her eyes and says “whatever”. This radical socialist is a serious threat to your kids and she must be stopped from being Mayor.
