@alexander_79630 @ElectionMapsUK Not exactly a vote winning slogan is it?
'Vote Lib Dem we got soul and a soul'
Perhaps a coherent economic and energy policy might be a more worthwhile pursuit?
English

@AndyOConnell3 @ElectionMapsUK Mate I guess you’re an atheist so you’ll never understand what a soul is. Its the part of us that doesnt die when our body does - its also a branch of wonderful music from the 50’s onwards that connects us to each other and to the universal “one” Music is the language of the soul
English

@alexander_79630 @ElectionMapsUK And you still can't explain what you mean. I need a dictionary to try and understand what you say but you cant explain it yourself. Absurd like your party.
English

@AndyOConnell3 @ElectionMapsUK Its WITH A SOUL mate and its spiritual - guess you don’t understand deep meaningful expressions do you ? Please buy a dictionary and maybe stop embarrassing yourself on here. We have 72 MP’s and are gonna get more next time - deal with it 🤣🤣
English

@nickpat61 @chatswithem What? Thats not what needs to be done. Reducing fuel load by pre emotive burning and cutting during winter is the cost effective managed solution.
English

@chatswithem Desalinating water is expensive. Asking farmers to wet their land and helicopters to dump water as a pre-emptive measure to prevent wildfires is laughable. You obviously visited Portugal in winter when it is very green. Try August, it is mostly parched.
English

Fires 🔥
These things don't spontaneously combust
They may spread like wild fires but they aren't naturally CAUSED
Very rarely a lightening strike or machinery electrical fault
But mostly arson and idiots
But what we need is proper LAND MANAGEMENT and WATER MANAGEMENT by our Government and proper FORWARD planning!!!!
Honestly the bad governance and ineptitude in this country is seriously unacceptable
English

@alexander_79630 @ElectionMapsUK Stop talking shite! You don't know 'what a soul' means in the context you used it. Keep up with what? A national party leader doing slapstick comedy. What an absolute farce!
English

@AndyOConnell3 @ElectionMapsUK If you don’t understand the word try a dictionary- the postmaster thing is complete and utter bullshit as at least 5 ministers were told and the Japanese company are the culprits- please TRY to keep up.
English

@alexander_79630 @ElectionMapsUK Who do you care about? Your leader certainly didn't care about postmasters while he pocketed £275 grand. What does 'with a soul' mean? Word salad nonsense!
English

@AndyOConnell3 @ElectionMapsUK About 50% actually 🤣 Because we are the ONLY really decent caring party with a soul. And NOT dependent on Big Business or Unions for money 👍👍
English

@WGeorgeColvin @mikejdrew21 I get that. And it will be hard to interpret from France. But the greens major on Palestine and Labour major on the immigrant vote. The two clash. What do Lib Dems offer. They just seem to be a non issue party. I get you can vote for that. But why?
English

@AndyOConnell3 @mikejdrew21 I know as much as you do in Carlisle! Irrespective of your own anti LD rhetoric the voters decided that they wanted him, not another Green Cllr.
English

@WGeorgeColvin @mikejdrew21 So what was the Lib Dem candidate offering that others didn't feel able to?
English

@AndyOConnell3 @mikejdrew21 Yes, in this case, it’s one seat on a London Borough Council. So local issues predominate. Not that difficult to understand. It’s not a general election is it?
English

@WGeorgeColvin @mikejdrew21 So its simply a local issue. Lib Dems offer nothing nationally?
English

@AndyOConnell3 @mikejdrew21 If they didn't they wouldn't get elected and re-elected.
English

@SamaHoole Naturally fire retardant as well. Great for insulation.

Doris got sheared this summer, which is to say she was manhandled onto her backside by a stranger, stripped of a coat she never agreed to part with, and turned back out onto the fell with nothing to show for the indignity but a lighter step and a face like thunder.
The shearer comes round every June. Doris, being a hefted Texel with firm views on personal space, treats the whole thing as a miscarriage of justice. She goes stiff. She sighs. She fixes the man with the stare she usually saves for weather coming in off the west, then it's over in ninety seconds and she's off up the hill eight pounds lighter, cool for the summer, clean of the flies and the strike that a full fleece in July invites. Brian, watching from over the wall where he keeps his log of these things, marked it down as a net gain for Doris and a dead loss for everyone else.
Because here's the wool. That fleece, the real thing, grown on grass and rain and hefted patience, the fibre that kept these islands warm for a thousand years and clothed the men who built them, is now worth so little it costs more to shear off than it sells for. So it sits in a barn.
Meanwhile the world it was replaced by has gone and dressed itself head to toe in oil. Fleece jackets spun from petroleum. Base layers, gym leggings, the lot, extruded from the same barrel as the diesel, shedding a little plastic into the wash water every time they spin, off down the drain and out to sea and eventually back onto your plate in a fish. Renewable, they call the sheep, when they want a stick to beat her with. Then they zip themselves into a crude oil derivative and lecture the ewe on her footprint.
Doris grows a new one every year out of nothing but hillside. Fully compostable, entirely renewable, comes with its own forecast. And we let it rot in a barn because a bin bag full of oil undercut her.
She doesn't know any of this. She's up on the top, freshly done, glaring at the horizon, growing next year's out of pure spite.

@FUDdaily Both tap in to prejudice and grievance.... It seems to override anything else.
English

One of the reasons policy development is so vital for parties of the right is so that they can identify issues (and corresponding solutions) and mount campaigns on those issues to win over the people who care about them. You can't just mong on about immigration.
This ought to be prime territory for a party like Reform - especially since it is one of those areas that would most benefit from deregulation enabled by Brexit. Clarkson's Farm has already raised awareness of this issue, along with the injustice of the farm inheritance tax and the dismal TB testing regime - and they could secure much wider backing to advance their own policy ideas. Similarly, when Rupert Lowe is notionally a farmer, why hasn't he made an effort? If they want an agriculture policy, here's a starter for ten....

It seems like the right has completely forgotten how to do politics, and spends most of its time harvesting social media engagement, then wonders why it is failing.

English

@mikejdrew21 @ElectionMapsUK So what unique national policies are you offering or are you saying the Lib Dems bring better local services than other parties?
English

@AndyOConnell3 @ElectionMapsUK As someone who was first elected 43 years ago and have won 23 elections it is because we represent our residents and are seen to do a good job. Usually get 60% of the vote.
English

@TheEconomist So an article dated 5th Jul 26 uses an image of a weather map from the depths of winter in the 1980s. Why? For massive contrast?
English

Climate change is raising the stakes. As more extreme weather shocks are felt, accurate forecasts increase trust economist.com/britain/2026/0…

@AlbertoCostaMP @snpwatch His shop is next door to your constituency office FFS!!
English

This is a shocking and unforgivable failure by the Home Office.
A convicted human trafficker with no right to live or work in the UK has reportedly been able to open a shop and operate in Blaby, yet neither Leicestershire Police, Blaby District Council nor I, as the local MP, were informed.
This raises serious questions about the government's competence and its ability to enforce the law. I am demanding immediate answers from ministers and full accountability for this extraordinary breakdown.

English

@PeterSweden7 Yes, but a global socialist government won't be established by admitting such reality.
English

@DarkAgeBriton @FUDdaily Yes. Very good point. This long term left wing policy of 'changing the people to keep power' is going into overdrive.
English

Vote consolidation. They know they cant win back the white northern vote realistically so they are trying to jam as many future voters into Britain as possible. Watch for policies that also try to spread them into new areas, no point in a fptp constituency system having them all concentrated in a few areas if you want to win elections.

@MikeW_DLead @LondonReformist Good job? Are you mad or getting increased payments from the state?
English

@LondonReformist She’s been doing a good job. Why change it? Oh yeah, the misogynistic right don’t want women in positions of authority.
English

@WiganRugbyClips 7. Smith 6. Connor
Williams and Lewis second choices at moment.
English

“Harry Smith won’t beat anyone at international level” 🤔
Smith has also outdueled Nathan Clery in the WCC. Also dominated at Old Trafford and Wembley twice each.
Meanwhile Connor exits loss in the 4th round of the cup twice and his first playoff game at home against wellens 😂

Duncan Childs@dunc56
@HullAreYou @insidefw1 Harry smith is a system 7 that won’t beat anyone at international level. Connor plays eyes up rugby and can adapt.
