@snpwatch

Been highlighting SNP hypocrisy, lies, and incompetence since just after indy ref. Never thought they would self-destruct as quickly as they are doing.

Jewish charity ambulances are being torched in the UK. This didn’t happen in a vacuum. It follows years of media distortion, NGO campaigning, and political rhetoric - that has spread lies, demonised Israel and normalised hostility towards Jews. So spare us the shock.

First article in major US media covering how Hamas & PIJ terrorists posed as journalists & healthcare workers. I'm quoted. Everyone already knows this to be true, but the hard evidence is coming out every day. By @BWBailey85 ⬇️ foxnews.com/world/analysts…

@v_j_freeman I’ve not watched it yet but from what I’ve seen the Dunk character is the exact thing I have in mind when I picture Corporal Carrot from the Discworld novels. Who also has a really great arc.

Just finished Knight of the Seven Kingdoms & obviously loved it. Totally unoriginal observation I’m sure but Ser Dunk was very Samwise Gamgee. Daniel Ings & Bertie Carvel both ate up the screen. Marvellous turns.

@v_j_freeman It was very good. Also the transition from light hearted banter to "OH GOD, HE SWITCHED SIDES!" was brutal.

Jim Hacker: Humphrey, we have to do something about Iran. Sir Humphrey Appleby: Prime Minister, the government is already doing a great deal. Jim Hacker: Such as? Sir Humphrey Appleby: Monitoring developments, coordinating with allies, reviewing contingency plans and expressing concern. Jim Hacker: That all sounds like nothing, Humphrey. Sir Humphrey Appleby: On the contrary, Prime Minister. In diplomacy it is vital to appear active without becoming involved. Jim Hacker: The Americans are bombing things, the Iranians are firing missiles, the Strait of Hormuz is practically closed and we’re… appearing active? Sir Humphrey Appleby: Precisely. Jim Hacker: Innocent people are dying, Humphrey! Sir Humphrey Appleby: Yes, Prime Minister. That is why the Foreign Office is drafting a very strongly worded statement about it. Jim Hacker: A statement won’t stop a war. Sir Humphrey Appleby: No, Prime Minister, but it will ensure that we are on record as having been extremely concerned while it was happening. Bernard Woolley: If I may, Prime Minister — the Cabinet Office has identified six possible courses of action. Jim Hacker: Good! What are they? Bernard Woolley: We can condemn the escalation, call for restraint, urge negotiations, support our allies, assist defensive operations or participate directly. Jim Hacker: And what do they recommend? Sir Humphrey Appleby: Supporting our allies. Jim Hacker: That sounds suspiciously like participating. Sir Humphrey Appleby: Oh no, Prime Minister. Participating means fighting. Supporting merely means allowing others to fight from places that technically belong to us. Jim Hacker: Humphrey, if Iranian missiles hit one of our bases, we’ll be in the war anyway! Sir Humphrey Appleby: Yes, Prime Minister, but we shall have entered it with the invaluable diplomatic advantage of being surprised. Bernard Woolley: It’s generally considered the safest way to enter a war, Prime Minister. Jim Hacker: How on earth can that be safe? Sir Humphrey Appleby: Because if the war goes badly, we can say we never meant to join it. And if it goes well, we can say we were there all along.

@theSNP That’s simply because a) you’ve sold our renewables off on the cheap to foreign governments who are charging us a fortune to get the energy back, b) are against nuclear power, which has reduced electricity costs in Finland by 75%! You’re the reason we have high electricity costs!

When I visit towns in France or the Netherlands, I don't see the same urban rot. It is almost as if the internet and online shopping are not the real issues, but something deeper in the structure of the British economy, planning, local government and tax systems.
Labour Future@LabourfutureUK

Covid legacy issues and the shift to online shopping are destroying our high streets, and 14 years of Tory rule and chaos left our economy in a mess. High Streets are boarded up for full of vape shops, many illegal. The government must tackle the issue. express.co.uk/news/uk/218263…

@Lairdysnr @theSNP They heard that elderly care was free. They heard that uni was free for all students. They heard school kids get a few laptop and bike. They heard the snp were competent. They're in for a real shocker.

Laird of the Extremists. #ScottishIndependence
Here's a question for the unionists. If Scotland is so shit, why do people from the rest of the uK keep moving here? That's right: 🌟BECAUSE IT'S NOT ABOUT THE LEVEL OF TAX, IT'S ABOUT VALUE RECEIVED FOR TAX.🌟 @theSNP - doing a great job! #ScottishIndependence2026 #VoteIndy
Laurie Macfarlane@L__Macfarlane

In the latest year, 6,500 more taxpayers moved to Scotland from rUK than left. Net migration to Scotland has been positive every year since it first diverged from UK tax in 2018 — totalling ~22,000 taxpayers.

Simply reprehensible. I can't believe that a Member of the Scottish Parliament would advocate for such action against members of our armed forces. Why people like Maggie hate our country so much?
