Anyone familiar with Andrew Thirkhill knows Leeds Rhinos runs through his DNA. When you live and breathe a club like he has, it seems inexplicable to suddenly buy a rival. It’s obvious he has bought Hull FC purely as a ‘vehicle’ to publicly rehabilitate his errant son-in-law.

England player Mikey Lewis and Samoa player Chan Kum Tong have each been charged with a Grade D offence of striking an opponent (head-butting) and issued with a five-match penalty notice. The players were also fined £750 each.

On the date that article was written GW hadn't even appealed (This was the day after his ORT hearing where he had contested the charge, and a week before his appeal). Now, enough of you frivolously arguing the point!

@AndyWillby87 @RockfordFld @M_Shaw1 He didn’t get an extra match at the appeal stage; he got it when he contested the charge. Mini has already contested the charge. To be clear, again, appeals can’t be deemed frivolous.

@Sharks111064831 @D_L1997 He will never be seen on the field in a black and white shirt again. Got shat on from a great height by that club. He’s no one season wonder - this has been building for 3 seasons and he rarely has less than a 7/10 match now. Consistency is key. You pie eaters know that.

We’ve seen it all before with Mikey Lewis, plucky half back from lower-mid table team has good season, moves to a big club, gets found out, Widnes, bin. Or do you lot not remember Dennis Moran?
