The Petro-cavernous portion of the Internal carotid artery seems to be affected much more than the extra or intracranial ICA portions in South Asians. I have now officially placed more stents in this portion for artery to artery embolism than in the cervical ICA

Stroke neurologist case of the day : 70 yo with 3hrs. Last seen normal (LSN)left hemiparesis nihss 16 with right m1 occlusion. Gets teneceteplase and goes for Thrombectomy.

Fantastic @TENSIONtrial results! Thrombectomy in stroke with extended lesion and extended time window resulted in better functional outcome using a simple diagnostic algorithm using predominantly plain CT!
