@cefalomike @KILLTOPARTY Speak for yourself. I wouldn't date/marry anyone who had a fuck buddy, casual hookups, or anything of the sort. Fucking bfs? Fine. Fucking husband? Fine. Divorced? FINE. Its the "standard" I care about. Not the "act" of sex, nor its abundance previously before me.

Do they not understand how HUMAN BEINGS intermingle as a social construct from birth to death? These “In the closet” cucks seriously think there’s a Virgin Mary with their name tattooed on them in the wild like a pokemon to catch and if she even DARED have a intimate relationship with a member of the opposite sex ohhhhhh boy she’s ICKY hahaha they need to just wake up , have a cup of hot black coffee, and admit to themselves that they actually want to hear about their girlfriends or whatever past relationships so they can pretend they have standing to get mad or disgusted and play victim.

@fsonic3 @Kaizen_3D respecting them as a human being is whats wrong. Which isn't a concept thats mutually exclusive with enjoying attractive depictions of women that are "male gazey", to even extremes like hentai. The majority of people grasp fantasy as just that and nothing more.

@fsonic3 @Kaizen_3D There's a difference between objectification and sexualization. There's nothing wrong with sexualization, it comes with being human. From gay guy checking out another guy's butt, to lesbian checking out another girl's boobs. Wittling someone down to their body and not-

Hot take incoming (not really), artists enjoy making characters that look cute or hot. The intention is not always "goonerbait" or "tHe MAle gAzE", it's just artists making art they enjoy making. I'm sorry but creating attractive characters is just more enjoyable. Sometimes artists just wanna make a character look cute, hot, or cool because it’s fun. That’s it, it ain't that deep.
NEO@neorouxls

People are talking about the male-gaze-iness of Gameoverse and yeah I have to agree. It's not "goonerbait" and I liked the pilot but it objectively IS male-gazey. Which isn't inherently bad, but I did kinda roll my eyes at parts like this. Like why was Fold also never tied up lol

@fsonic3 @Kaizen_3D Also I should clarify im specifically talking about "fictional" content. Thats why I believe its pointless to talk about it. The idea of denying female actors work because they aren't conventionally attractive is a different discussion to me.

@AnimeAdvocate @Kaizen_3D I have to disagree there, the literal definition of male gaze is "a masculine, heterosexual perspective" and I disagree that there is no point to talk about it unless it's extreme, as women still face prejudice today from how they are viewed by the majority of straight men.

@fsonic3 @Kaizen_3D "Masculine heterosexual perspective" is too vague. Saying those words and saying "Do straight men like it" convey the same message. The issue is that perspective could easily be shared beyond them. Also how do you know how the vast majority of straight men see women?

@fsonic3 @Kaizen_3D "whoever likes what they see" gaze. Straight people, bi-people, even lesbians. Bringing up straights being the majority doesn't help because their the majority in almost everything, including content that isn't "male-gazey". Hollow Knight isn't "male-gazey" for instance.

@fsonic3 @Kaizen_3D Firstly, I don't think there's anything "wrong" with the sexualization of men or women so long as fiction is understood to be kept that way. Secondly, male-gaze is too easy to boogeyman. Unless its extreme there's no point in talking about it. "Male-gaze" is literally

@fsonic3 @Kaizen_3D Is there that the depictions of women they find attractive in fictional content is detrimental/objectifying to women? It's similar to assuming people can't seperate fiction from reality. Modifying their treatment of people based on how an artist drew a character.

@fsonic3 @Kaizen_3D opinion refers to as far being "perverse". I also agree that just because "Gilf" content exists, in abundance mind you(just isn't mainstream), doesn't mean women don't face the challenges you listed. Im only questioning what evidence beyond "straight people like this"

@fsonic3 @Kaizen_3D One is accusatory and aims to taint how the public perceives you and your art, based on the accusers subjective perspective. The other expresses disappointment their tastes weren't catered to. Which is perfectly valid to feel that way. Id like to touch up on your other point-

@fsonic3 @Kaizen_3D People have a right to feel how they want. Those opinions cross the line when they try to assert themselves as more than they are, such as dictating what artists should be doing with their own talent they worked hard on. The answer to the complaining is to watch something else.

@fsonic3 @Kaizen_3D Agreeing with me doesn't disprove it. I said you had a bias, not an unchanging disposition. I can just say you have it with no evidence of the contrary. Whether you "do" or "do not" is irrelevant to the nature of the accusation. That same instance goes for this topic as well.

@fsonic3 @Kaizen_3D Literally type in "cougar" movies and you'll see an array that are mostly rom-coms. So the presence is there. Is it "80" specifically? Because gilf movies exist beyond porn.

@fsonic3 @Kaizen_3D I believe you're making a mountain out of a molehill by bringing up the subconscious. The demand for "gilfs" has been mainly been pornographic and/or meme oriented. You're letting "media" do too much heavy lifting for your point to be understandable to me. I need specifics.
