If Nolan changed Homer to satisfy the Academy, then this is not courage. It is obedience. But the larger shame belongs to the institution that made obedience look like virtue. The Academy now behaves like a Ministry of Culture. Before a story may be honored, it must prove its loyalty to the approved language of the age. The artist no longer asks whether the work is true, beautiful, or faithful to the inheritance he received. He asks whether it has passed inspection. So, Homer is brought before the desk. The forms are checked. The myth is corrected. The old hero is made safe for the present regime. This is how culture is trained to feel smaller. Not by burning the books, but by making every artist rewrite them before anyone is allowed to praise them. And soon enough, no one needs to order the change. The artist learns to do it himself.

To be eligible to win Best Picture at the Oscars… 1. At least 1 Non-White/Non-Straight lead or Significant Role. 2. At least 30% minor roles Non-White/Non-Straight people. 3. At least 2 Departments headed by Non-White/Non-Straight people. This is why Nolan did it. Coward.

Actually, California's "in-home care" program is a $30 billion fraud magnet and generates $150 million a year in dues for labor unions, which then send some of that cash to your campaigns. You're complicit, Gavin—and you're not going to get away with it.
Governor Newsom Press Office@GovPressOffice

We hate fraud. But that’s NOT what this is. Vance and Oz are attacking programs that keep seniors and people with disabilities OUT of nursing homes. Pretty sick. Why has IHSS grown in California? It’s simple: Because California is keeping more people OUT of far more expensive nursing homes! IHSS: $30K/year Nursing home: $137K/year SAVING TAXPAYERS: $107K per person

@KeenanPeachy Nolan actually did it to meet Academy Award Diversity requirements in effect since 2024. Wakanda was made in 2020-2021 (released in 2022).

Foundational text of Ancient Greece should obviously be cast with Greek and Mediterranean actors, since anything else is cultural appropriation by non-Greeks. Or are the only movies allowed to have zero diversity the ones set in Wakanda?

Christopher Nolan explains why he cast Travis Scott in ‘THE ODYSSEY’: “I cast him because I wanted to nod towards the idea that this story has been handed down as oral poetry, which is analogous to rap.” (Source: time.com/article/2026/0…)

These quotas should be abolished. But Affirmative Action /DEI is super hard to unwind. It takes lawsuits - and would be difficult to prove discrimination based on race occurred in these casting decisions. In the past 10 years, Hollywood was one of the last industries to succumb to this DEI nonsense. It was only 5 years ago when the antiracist/ BLM crowd tried to destroy the reputation of the Golden Globes. They destroyed themselves from within by appeasing that nonsense - and started with the quotas. The Academy Awards followed shortly after. The results are no better films, just more widespread DEI/Wokeness- in an already far left-wing industry. And insufferable award speeches by virtue signalers who hope they will still get hired. Without knowing how bad it would get, Ricky Gervais nailed all this hypocrisy in 2020 at the Golden Globes: youtube.com/watch?v=S7OOJW…

Hello Senator Thune, Let's expose what you're really doing with "reconciliation." You announced it yesterday, eleven months after the House passed the SAVE America Act. You're not trying to pass this bill. You're trying to kill it in a way you can blame on process. Here's how we know: Reconciliation requires the Senate parliamentarian to rule that provisions are "budgetary." Citizenship verification is not budgetary. Photo ID mandates are not budgetary. The parliamentarian will gut the bill. Then you'll shrug and say "we tried." We see through you. Meanwhile, you WON'T use the tools that actually work: Rule XIX limits each senator to two speeches per legislative day. Keep the Senate in continuous session, file cloture daily, and the filibuster exhausts in ~12-20 days. You dismissed it as "complicated." Because if you tried and succeeded, you'd have to actually pass the bill. Harry Reid nuked the filibuster in 2013 when he wanted results. Mitch McConnell changed Senate rules THREE times and canceled the August recess. Chuck Schumer used reconciliation within months on a 50-50 Senate. You have 53 seats. You've changed nothing, canceled nothing, and waited eleven months. Now let's talk donors: • Goldman Sachs: $150K to you - top H-1B user • Google: $75K - lobbies against E-Verify • Meta: $72.5K - Zuckerberg's FWD[.]us pushes mass immigration • Wells Fargo: $90K - banks undocumented immigrants Same corporations sponsor Punchbowl News, where you sit for "Fly Out Days" which nobody watches except Congress staffers and K Street lobbyists who pays premium bucks for legislative intelligence. Their reporter then telegraphs to the audience the SAVE Act "will ultimately fail." Corporate money flows to you AND to the outlet that frames your inaction as inevitable. We see the loop. You called grassroots anger a "paid influencer ecosystem." YOU are the paid influencer. You take the wrong side of a 80% issue because you are indistinguishable from a K Street mouthpiece, and an ineffective one to boot who won't bend the rules to get anything passed. What we want: 1. Force a real talking filibuster. 2. Stop hiding behind process. 3. Pass the SAVE America Act. YOU will become the reason that we will have our butts kicked in midterms. Not Candace Owens, not Nick Fuentes, not anyone else. You and you alone, and all because you want to make the 200 or so viewers of Punchbowl Fly Out Days happy. You're living in a K Street information bubble, addicted to the comforts and praises of lobbyists masquerading as journalists. You mistake the steak and martini dinners you get invited to as your own constituents. You are not "moderate." The SAVE America Act has 98% support among Republicans. Name one other thing that has 98% support. You are an extreme minority who prides himself on being a calm leader, when in reality you are well in the running for the most ineffective Majority leader of all time. Prove me wrong. Do the bare modicum of effort. Not symbolic. Actual effort. Cancel the recess. Get SAVE America Act passed.

"disparate impact" is one of the most damaging legal and philosophical doctrines in america. in essence, it says "you may not notice reality if reality is not to our liking." it's one of the foundational ideas of DEI, affirmative action, disparate charging and sentencing, and other such discrimination masquerading as justice. gone is the idea of equal treatment, equal before the law, and equal rights. in its place stands "no one may have rights and no one may be safe" because "if one group disproportionately commits crimes, then we must stop noticing and prosecuting the crimes." it's all of a piece. this is how you get decriminalized shoplifting, failure to prosecute, failure to hold felons despite dozens of violent arrests. these people hate the idea of "broken windows policing" not because it's oppressive but because it works. it rounds up illegals. it catches people out on warrants. it leads to a zillion other crimes being uncovered because the kinds of people who commit those crimes commit lots and lots of crimes. they are the sort of people who either do not care or cannot help it. you want to find these people and if the cost is "a few folks get fix it tickets for driving with unsafe windshields or expired tags" then fine. nearly all crime is committed by habitual offenders. identifying and engaging with repeat and recidivist criminals and, if need be, getting them off the streets is the only thing that works. they do not stop unless stopped. they just keep stealing, shooting, and pushing strangers to their deaths down flights of stairs.

LA City Council just told LAPD they can't pull anyone over anymore for expired tags, dead tail lights, cracked windshields, busted mirrors, illegal tint, loud exhaust, or missing plates. Why? Because out of 72,000 stops in three years, 86% were Black or Latino drivers. So if your car is busted, you're now invisible to the LAPD. Congratulations. This rule is intended to reduce discriminatory policing and build community trust.

A zombie belief I frequently encounter in woke papers is that there's a tenure-track hiring bias against women in STEM. A new paper combining all research on faculty ratings for identical CVs for men vs. women show that not only is this belief false, the opposite is true.

Marty, you took on entrenched interests, challenged the status quo, and never lost sight of the American people we serve. You pushed forward critical reforms and helped advance our mission to Make America Healthy Again. I’m grateful for your courage and your friendship. Wishing you the very best in your next chapter. I also want to thank Kyle Diamantas for stepping in as Acting Commissioner — his leadership has already delivered remarkable wins on the MAHA food agenda, and I have full confidence in his continued work. We have an outstanding team at FDA, and the work continues without pause. The search for a new Commissioner is already underway, and we will move forward with urgency.

All-in on Spencer Pratt Copyright 2026, Adrian E. Alvarez, Esq. As promised, if @theallinpod interviewed @spencerpratt they’d get a song, and they did, so I made one! Great job with the interview @jasonfried, and keep up the amazing work @jason, @chamath and @DavidSacks. Perpetual license granted to the official All-In Pod for any use with attribution to author @YoAdrian305 Lyrics: ¡Oye! Listen to the voices on the microphone, Four besties dealing cards from the Silicon throne! We got the Sultan of SaaS, the dictator of the take, Putting all the chips down, seeing what the market makes! And Jason in the mix, bringing moderator heat, Used to run the LA scene, knows the rhythm of the street! But the City of Angels still calls out his name, While the All-In crew changes the whole media game! (Chorus) ¡All-In! They’re playing the hand! The sharpest minds broadcasting across the land! But hold the press, stop the science and the tech, ‘Cause Friedberg’s bringing hard truths on the deck! ¡Echa pa'lante! (Verse 2) Now David usually talks about the climate and the crops, But today he’s asking questions where the spinning finally stops! He sits down with Spencer Pratt, putting nonsense to the side, Talking 'bout the city where the problems cannot hide! They’re talking turning on the lights, taking back the neighborhood, Cleaning up the streets, making sure it's understood! Reducing the crime, bringing safety back in style, Friedberg lets him speak the truth, taking LA the extra mile! (Coro / Pregón - Call and Response) Coro: ¡Pratt pa' la alcaldía, the pod has got the scoop! Pregón: ¡Oye! Jason left LA, but Spencer’s rallying the troop! Coro: ¡Pratt pa' la alcaldía, the pod has got the scoop! Pregón: Sweeping up the avenues, shining up the city loop! Coro: ¡Pratt pa' la alcaldía, the pod has got the scoop! Pregón: Turn the streetlights on, no more running through the hoop! Coro: ¡Pratt pa' la alcaldía, the pod has got the scoop! (Mambo - Furious horn section and heavy conga solo) ¡Agua! ¡Sácalo a bailar! (Outro) Let the chips fall! Let the streetlights shine! The besties on the mic, crossing every single line! ¡All-In! NY Times Does it again In the 1930s, they won a Pulitzer for romanticized reporting of Joseph Stalin that failed to uncover the deliberate starving of millions in the Ukraine. Then the paper won a Pulitzer for reporting that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction when it turned out to be false. And then they won a Pulitzer for their coverage of the non existent Russia Russia hoax on the president that turned out to be an unsubstantiated Clinton oppo research scheme. Recently, they won a Pulitzer for a photo purporting to show a starving child that turned out to be a child with severe prenatal birth defects and a healthy mother and brother (who was cropped out). And now they publish an op ed (and let me tell you they fact check every single word of a moderate op ed for days) from Nicholas Kristof that carries unproven and impossible allegations of trained rape dogs from Hamas-affiliated sources. No award in sight yet but give it time. I don’t know how many more “awards” our country can withstand for this outlet’s nearly hundred year history of the amplification of politicized propaganda.

Months ago, the Civil Commission approached the New York Times with a report on Hamas’ systematic sexual violence on Oct. 7 and after. The @nytimes said it was not interested. This comprehensive and well-documented report was published this morning by CNN and other international outlets. Aware of the report and its release date, the night before its release the NYT ran a shameful attack on Israel, belittling Hamas’ sexual crimes. That tells you everything about the NYT's agenda.

Today, the @nytimes chose to publish one of the worst blood libels ever to appear in the modern press. In an unfathomable inversion of reality, and through an endless stream of baseless lies, propagandist Nicholas Kristof turns the victim into the accused. Israel - whose citizens were the victims of the most horrific sexual crimes committed by Hamas on October 7, and whose hostages were later subjected to further sexual abuse - is portrayed as the guilty party. This publication is no coincidence. It is part of a false and well-orchestrated anti-Israel campaign aimed at placing Israel on the UN Secretary-General’s blacklist. Israel will fight these lies with the truth - and the truth will prevail.

In 2014, Nicholas Kristof had to write a humiliating blog post titled “When Sources May Have Lied.” He admitted he’d spent years promoting Somaly Mam’s graphic “trafficked-as-a-child” horror story, only to discover she had apparently fabricated much of it. Kristof conceded he got played, added editor’s notes to his old columns, and said he wished he’d never written about her. Fast-forward to today, and he’s publishing an article based on interviews with 14 Palestinians claiming Israeli guards raped them with batons, carrots, and even dogs. They offer no corroborating evidence. Any chance they’re lying or exaggerating? Kristof responds that “To me that seems far-fetched.” But back in 2014, he wrote “We journalists often rely to a considerable extent on people to tell the truth…. We’re less suspicious if someone claims something stigmatizing, like being trafficked into a brothel.” Except this time, the alleged victims are claiming sexual abuse in Israeli prisons — the furthest thing from stigmatizing in elite media circles. In fact, it’s a golden ticket to instant sympathetic coverage in the New York Times, global headlines, and virtually no risk of being called a liar. The man got burned by unverified trauma porn once, and now he seems eager to do it again to satisfy his insatiable lust for fictitious Israeli atrocities.

🚨ARTICLE: The Shadow Cabinet of Soros🚨 This is the story of National Security Action, a secretive Soros NGO. Ten days after Trump's inauguration, a former Pentagon official publicly floated a military coup in Foreign Policy magazine. Within a year, she was advising a new Soros-funded organization that quietly assembled 70 former Obama national security officials under one roof. 46 of them went on to staff the Biden administration -- including the Secretary of State, CIA Director, DNI, NSA, and UN Ambassador. 88.6% were Obama alumni. The primary funder: the Open Society Action Fund. The same woman simultaneously sat on the funder's board and the organization's advisory council. She also co-founded the Transition Integrity Project and spent 14 years at New America developing doctrine on military refusal of orders. Read it here.

Remember when you were called a conspiracy theorist for questioning the origins of COVID? I was right there with you. Fauci dismissed the lab leak theory on every major network while his NIH was actively funding gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Scientists who agreed with us were silenced. Careers were destroyed. The COVID cover-up ran straight through our own public health bureaucracy. Today is the final day for the DOJ to charge Fauci.

This video of Fauci dismissing the lab leak is made so much worse by the fact that he was instrumental in organizing a completely discredited paper in order to take focus away from the lab leak and protect himself and his profession
