@LeeHurstComic I’ve read this 3 times but I’m sure this reads as no way he should not receive Lee. Do you mean no way he should receive? Sorry if I’m being thick

@DPJHodges Erm… can’t see a frenzied attack other than your posts. You are looking deranged

With his increasingly frenzied attacks on Restore, Nigel Farage has become the Barbara Streisand of British politics > Daily Mail > dailymail.com/debate/article…

@labourpress Pathetic. Your tweet shows why your support is dwindling. You will never be in power again.

I never thought I’d say these words but Tony Blair is 100% right here and @Ed_Miliband should be removed from his post.
English

@AndyBurnhamGM @InstituteGC Code for - my handlers will tell me what to say and write the response for me. This will be what I need for the By-election vote to gain power but obviously I will totally change this when/if I become PM.
English

@InstituteGC This requires a considered response. I will set one out tomorrow.
English

@pritipatel Pathetic. No wonder Tories are no longer in power. With tweets like this you’re unlikely to be in the future.

Reform are Putin’s puppets and a threat to our national security.
At a time of war on European soil, they lack all moral authority, and they stand for appeasement in the face of authoritarian violence and aggression.
They would give away sovereign territory rather than confront those who kill innocent civilians while undermining the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Britain stands with Ukraine in their fight for freedom. Putin threatens our national security everyday and we must never forget that Ukraine is fighting for us all. Slava Ukraini 🇬🇧🇺🇦

They’ll sell this as a U‑turn.
Rachel Reeves stands up, scraps her own 5p fuel duty hike “to help with the cost of living”, and the lobby purrs that motorists have been “spared”.
But the numbers HMRC quietly publishes tell a different story. Duty stays at 52.95p a litre until New Year’s Eve… then jumps to 55.95p on 1 January, and to 57.95p on 1 March – the highest level for more than four years and a full reversal of the 5p cut introduced in 2022 when pump prices exploded after Russia invaded Ukraine.
In plain English: the Chancellor has not cancelled the hike, she has re‑timed it for maximum political cover and minimum scrutiny.
Labour gets to pose for the cameras as the party “freezing fuel duty” in 2026, while the small print schedules a 3p raid on 1 January, followed by another 2p bomb on 1 March, precisely when families are still crawling out of the winter cost‑of‑living hole.
By the time drivers feel the full 5p rise at the pumps – plus 20% VAT on top of the duty – the press conference will be ancient history, but the extra tax will be baked into every commute, every school run, every delivery.
That is not economic competence. It is a deliberate, smoke‑and‑mirrors tax grab on people who have no choice but to drive.

@Goosey30111568 Welcome back. I often think I need a break from here, I am on far too long. I did actually last 2 days away from it once. I have put a timer on but soon realised I could override it. Not easy to leave actually!
English

Guess who's back?
I've decided I can't leave you all to it.
Thanks for the wonderful comments and the lovely DM's.
You're all wonderful.
We Can Win This 100%.

To all you wonderful people. I'm taking a break from X. I will be logging out of X with immediate effect. I may or may not return. Love you all. Xx

@The_TUC Can’t see the problem. The taxpayer doesn’t have to foot the bill , those that want it have paid for it! Win win .

Reform-led Durham council cut off funding to the annual Pride celebrations.
So trade unions launched a fundraiser to save it, eventually raising more money than was cut.
Which means this year's Pride will be bigger than ever.
In the 1980s, the LGBT+ community raised thousands of pounds to help striking miners and their families.
When we stick up for each other, we can achieve anything.

@higgyboson @AngelaRayner Time all expenses were reviewed with strict limits imposed
English

I posted this during the week but I'm doing it again because it's absolutely staggering.
@AngelaRayner can claim £40,000 in direct office expenses and a further £240,000 for "staff costs" etc.
She's also been gifted another quarter of a million quid from "supporters" to cover even more "office expenses".
In total it comes to over £500,000 per year.
Or £10,000 PER WEEK.
FOR OFFICE EXPENSES.
A UK pensioner is expected to survive on just £12,500 PER YEAR.
That's just 9 days worth of Angela Rayners "office expenses".
Are you OK with that?

English

@Benleo @British_Airways Why do you need proof of the price?
English

@timespolitics @Torydemocrats ‘What a surprise’ ! Wasn’t expecting that 🙄

@BoveFromAbove @danny__kruger Can you provide me with your source that shows they felt training was beneath them?
English

@Annflem11 @danny__kruger They turned down training that is offered to all new councillors because they thought it was beneath them.
I appreciate that everyone in a new job learns the ropes, but the level of ignorance she displayed was shocking. I'm glad I don't have Reform running my local services.

ANNOUNCEMENT!
Musical chairs in Downing Street don't matter when the real power sits next door at 70 Whitehall. Reform UK will scrap the Cabinet Office and the Cabinet Secretary and restore power to No 10, to ministers and to Parliament. Full policy document here: preparingforgovernment.com/fixing-the-cen…

Ann, I don’t mean to be argumentative but seriously, there is no fighting and I’m afraid that talk, as common as it is, is the last thing anyone with cancer needs to hear. Your brother isn’t fighting, he’s being assaulted and he has nothing to fight back with. Don’t put that pressure on him. 😘🙏
English

So I’m on my last lap.
I’m dying. We all are but some of us sooner than others.
I’ve been living/dealing/coping with cancer for fourteen years. That’s longer than anyone has a right to expect. During that time I’ve seen both my lovely boys marry and, although James cruelly kept me waiting, long enough to be delivered of two gorgeous granddaughters and a wonderful young grandson.
Also in that time I created Ichi-Coo and founded ClipFest and, apart from my descendants, those are the most important achievements of my life.
I have a history book about the garden, there will be a full length documentary made at ClipFest in an attempt to encourage someone else to carry it on. I have finished writing the memoir I wanted to write for my grandchildren.
I’m very tired and my work here is done.
The return of my lung cancer is the least of my problems. Any minute now, my leukaemia is going to spiral and it won’t stop until it kills me. There is no other outcome on offer. This one IS terminal. This is the last time I’ll ever tell you, “sorry, I’ve been diagnosed with cancer”.
Now it’s true there are “treatments” but these have not even the most wildly optimistic hope of stopping the inevitable. If I’m unlucky enough to be in the 25% of people who don’t respond at all, I die then. If I respond to it and continue taking the punishment till my last breath, I still die. I just spend the limited extra time it buys me, unable to think straight, exhausted by fatigue, swallowing more drugs to fight constipation, diarrhoea, nausea, antibiotics, anti fungals, etc. I spend my life in and out of hospital, some visits routine, many for emergencies. Many die from the treatment itself, even in the first month. Sepsis being the most common cause and pneumonia a close second.
This is no way to live. It’s an existence in suffering in a desperate bid to buy more time with no guarantee of anything. It’s not me.
The alternative is that I live my remaining time with a clear mind, mostly able to carry on as normal until I can’t. I’ll need palliative and supportive care both from my doctors, from hospice nurses and from my friends and family. There might well be the odd emergency along the way but on a whole different scale. Eventually the fatigue will take me into a coma and I will give up the struggle and fade blissfully asleep - if all goes according to plan.
The people closest to me are those who will have to live with the ultimate consequences of my decision. They’ve given me their blessing and pledged their support to give me the courage to see this through. Better 3-6 months of glorious life, spent with all of you, than two years of vomiting, diarrhoea, hospital emergencies, fatigue and vegetable-like stagnation.
I love you all and I need you now to show your love me. I’m not committing some act of suicide, I’m letting nature take its course whilst deploying the very best supportive care to make sure I’m as comfortable as possible.
As you all know I have absolutely no interest in following any faith of any kind into the contradictions that pass for religions. I know these are a huge comfort to the vast majority of people on earth but not me. I am of this universe, my atoms are part of it. For 72 years they’ve been rearranged into me and shortly they’ll be returned into something else in time, in the stock of atoms in soil and air, ready to be used by anything from a moth to a tree, maybe many things, a bit here, a bit there.
I’m not going anywhere. My atoms will return to the earth, in my barrow. My energy will go wherever it goes, it’s part of this one universe because we are all one, manifest in our myriad different forms, rocks and trees, goats, babes and ladybirds. That energy is the wind, the sun, the rain, the music, the laughter, the joy and the pain. It’s in all of you and in every living thing.
ClipFest is coming, that’s my Swansong. Help me make it wonderful. 😘😘😘
