@archivedself I get nothing but “fine” if I ask my kids about school (I still ask though 😆), but I get more with follow-ups like “what were the three best bits?” “Anything weird happen?” “What made you laugh today?”

@HertsSid My parents are there now and I did a whole polite phone call before they left, asking after house keys, watering their plants, caring for grandma etc, before I could swoop in and request some chocolate, ahem, “for their grandsons” 😆

@ellegist First one, hospital, straightforward, home the same day. Second one, at home, straightforward, afterwards had tea & bagels with the midwives and they made my bed for me - winner! Got some cute kids at the end of it too! 🙌

@MartinSLewis £5 each per week, into their bank accts for basic household chores of setting/clearing table and keeping their rooms tidy (although the teen & I have different opinions on tidiness 😂). Extra can be earned for bigger chores. Plus 50p per commendation from school! (Sons 14 & 10)

TELL US: Your pocket money rules. How old are the children? How much do you give? Do they have to work for it? Does that include tidying their room. Pls let us know how you do pocked money in your house by reply. Like your faves and some will be read out on my podcast.

@solonglunden I took it out of the library in the late 90s when I was in my teens and it blew my mind 😆 Not a single adult had a clue about the content!

@afcbournemouth I’m sure every woman watching relates to the anxiety that sets in as it gets dark - our worlds become smaller and less safe. Great video and an important message

@christinacarl09 @clhubes Ha! My eldest son (now a cool 14yr old) fixated on “cars falling the water” and made us watch that segment with Finn McMissile relentlessly. Youngest son watched it last week and Cars 2 is actually a great film!

@clhubes I had this reaction but with Cars 2. Me, the first time watching: “Oh the cars are… spies now? The plot points barely match up. Where are all the cars from the first Cars?? Holly SHIFTWELL? Really?” Me the 100th time: “I love this movie and you can never take it from me.”

@Sal_Robins Yes definitely - I’ve talked about this lots with my friends from my teens. The daft things we did and vulnerable positions we put ourselves in. BUT it was the best of times too - and virtually no incriminating evidence except a few disposable camera photos to show for it!

@BLAIMGame The local Tesco cordoning off the fresh produce aisle - you could ask a member of staff for a maximum of 2 pieces of fruit or veg (while they were also promoting their 3 for 2 offer!)

It was 4 years ago this month that Covid restrictions were introduced that meant you could only buy a drink in a pub if you had a Scotch Egg with it. What was the most moronic Covid rule you remember?

@Julietthebat I take it back - literally just watching In the Shadow of Two Gunmen part 1 & 2 now, and those are my favourite. High drama interspersed with the nostalgia of how the team were brought onto the campaign - so flipping good. Def my favourite programme ever too!

@AnnieMurray I’m not sure if it’s my favourite episode because there are too many to choose from. But it’s definitely my favourite programme, ever.

Going through old photos and found this one of me interviewing @Dawn_French I do remember asking what scent she was wearing because she smelt amazing!

@shawzac @Fortnums Sounds like an almighty error of judgement by the @Fortnums PR team. Wonder whether the Paralympic athletes ever even crossed their minds?

Hi @Fortnums 👋 as you’re aware, the Olympic and Paralympic medalists were invited to Buckingham Palace yesterday. It would be nice to understand why you hosted an after party for the Olympic medalists but made the decision not to invite the Paralympic medalists? Why? 😅😅

@JayStoneUK Yep, willing to throw women, girl and minorities under the bus to prove a point. Our system isn’t perfect, but a multiple parties to choose from, all holding each other to account, has to be better than a tribal polarised 2 horse race (plus the electoral college thing is nuts!)

@10Yetis I’ve had two Nike fanatics say the London and NYC flagships were pretty shopfronts but with little there, poor variety and stock levels. When eager consumers go with money to burn and leave underwhelmed, something isn’t working

Nike isn't in a #crisis but it is heading that way. My brand observations for those who like these kinda things. - Its #DtC move has not so much failed, it will get there, but it was too quick to cull its wholesale network - As other analysts are saying, the gap on the shelves from pulling their products was replaced by UA/HOKA and wider established-brand ranges like Adidas - They have lost their product exclusivity and "coolness". Too frequent with new product launches and too frequent restocking - Elite athletes are not perceiving them to be innovating enough
