A lot of people are quitting politics because they feel like they keep being asked to defend promises that never turn into real life. You can only hear “drain the swamp,” “hold people accountable,” and “this time is different” so many times before the whole thing starts to feel like a job that’s a lie. At some point, regular people look at their grocery bill, their taxes, their kids, and their actual life and realize politics is taking more from them than it is fixing.

@SteveOnSpeed It's simple, if your in your 60's, working and enjoy your job then defer. Otherwise take it at 62. You can invest or use it if needed. If you get laid off when old it is very hard to find a good job, so I don't get the wait until 70 crowd.

People say wait until 70 for max Social Security. Wrong. Claim at 62, invest it, and you'll have $220K+ in liquid capital by 70, while the "wait" crowd has collected $0.

This man is already 10 minutes late getting home. His wife walks outside and tells him not to be sitting in his car. She wants him to come inside and do his job and take care of the kids. Many men will sit in their car and decompress. A lot of women said why do husbands get to decompress when the wives don’t get to? Some are saying why not make the home a place where he looks forward to coming home to, where he’s in a hurry to get inside? What do you think? I was on FaceTime with a close friend of mine since childhood, while she had six of her girlfriends over. They live in NYC and are “corporate girlies” in their late 20s. They’re all college graduates, very pretty, normal, dress well, go to Pilates, enjoy their $10 matcha everyday. They’re MAHA (without knowing it). They were asking me about my social media and all claim to “not be political” but I know every single one of the votes left or doesn’t vote at all. One of them said my social media is crazy and I have some insane takes. I asked for an example so maybe I could help expand on how I reached whatever conclusion I did. There was no example provided. I started asking about what they knew about our political climate. I started basic and asked if any of them know who our VP is. NOT A SINGLE ONE OF THEM COULD NAME OUR VICE PRESIDENT!!!!! I asked more questions, and was equally disappointed in their lack of knowledge. They said they just don’t like getting involved in politics. Yet they all voted for Kamala. They don’t know how laws get passed, they don’t know the branches of government, they don’t know why we’re at war with Iran, they just think it’s “unnecessary”, I could go on. We have a major education crisis in our country.
