@JessBeSpoopin @MichinOntario @remarks I mean it originates from a different organ, from different muscles, and serves a different purpose. But yeah if you ignore all that its the same

@Ant44671 @MichinOntario @remarks That’s literally not the same thing Trans men dont have balls at all, so thats just not a thing Trans women have muscles where a uterus WOULD be, which sometimes start to cramp monthly. The balls arent real, but the muscles ARE real

@Zebrinator @lurk1911 @ShawneeWulf1 So few casualties that you have to flex two people dying. In case you were wondering its 17 dead on US side and over 3,000 for the iranians including their leader and his successor. Laughable you think these are comparable

@MichinOntario @remarks Those assigned male at birth who decide to go on estrogen shots and testosterone blockers have shown and have proven the existence of period cramps in SOME trans women. I am one of these people It’s like how testosterone makes a trans man’s voice deeper and thicker facial hair

@BiblioPhilip @cabot_phillips I think youve confused “not available here” with banned. Is shrimp banned because there are restaurants that dont offer it?

@cabot_phillips That's not "banned," that's either small-press or 'out of print'. "Banned" is when individual places specifically *ban* a title from being available *THERE*. Libraries, schools, shops - they "ban" things from *their* facility; titles merely having a high price are not "banned."

Missing the point that your concept of "decent human being" is purely cultural, and if you live in the west is a direct result of norms created by Christian morality.

@Ant44671 @Eggfucker21 @TravisRomo23 @PenguReborn it's funny how your retarded point was addressed multiple times in this same thread but you failed to understand your question was already answered because it was worded differently. brutal.

@MarrloEd @TravisRomo23 @PenguReborn Then we mostly agree. I think it was a net positive. I just also think that people play a large role in determining what is currently considered moral

@Ant44671 @TravisRomo23 @PenguReborn My point isn't that Christianity invented being empathetic, decent, or viewing others as equal but I will argue it popularized it. It's literally why Hospitals exist. At least the term and them being common.

@MarrloEd @TravisRomo23 @PenguReborn These dont contradict. Im not arguing that christianity promoted slavery its more simple. Christians and others viewed owners as decent which shows there were other factors for decency in society, proven by the fact we no longer think so despite christianity itself not changing

@MarrloEd @TravisRomo23 @PenguReborn That i much more agree with. The predominant religion in an area will have a large impact, my pushback is against it being the direct explanation of what a good person is by social standards. They are different metrics unlike the OP suggests

@Ant44671 @TravisRomo23 @PenguReborn The point I was making was that Christian Ethics have shaped most western people views because how modern society was pretty much built on it. Views change but it's still rooted in it.

@MarrloEd @TravisRomo23 @PenguReborn Im not arguing that, im saying that to boil down what people think of as a decent person as “internalized christianity” is an incomplete argument and the changing of what is considered decent clearly illustrates this

@Ant44671 @TravisRomo23 @PenguReborn The core of it is. Slavery beginning was justified by the Curse of Ham in the old testament Slavery was ended because the bible dictates everyone is equal in Christ. The fundamental aspect of the Bible comes from popularizing equality and empathy.

@MarrloEd @TravisRomo23 @PenguReborn Basically if christianity is both objective and the sole factor of decency in western society then what is viewed as decent by society should also be unchanging. The fact that not only has general society changed their views but also christians themselves shows otherwise

@MarrloEd @TravisRomo23 @PenguReborn Then explain how slave owners were viewed as decent people in the west, despite christianity being “objective” and “unchanging”, if decency is determined by christian ideals
