Fixed grants - •INR 800-850 crores per year for Nepal’s infrastructure, health, education, high-impact community development projects (HICDPs), and other grants. •Additional one-off/project-specific grants (e.g., for pipelines or post-earthquake) come on top but are not recurring every year. 2. Pensions to Nepali Gorkha Ex-Servicemen - •India pays pensions directly to ~1.22 lakh Nepali-domiciled ex-servicemen (and families) from the Indian Army’s Gorkha regiments. ~INR 3,000 crore min •These pensions are paid in INR through Indian Embassy Pension Paying Offices in Nepal and count as major welfare support for Nepali citizens. 3. Welfare Schemes - •INR ~50 crore for community projects occur from time to time. 4. Trade (including Oil & LPG) - •Bilateral trade volume: India’s exports to Nepal in 2024 were INR 58,000 crore. Approx 7 Bn USD.
