Sending solidarity to my friend and comrade Joanna Byrne.
Drogheda United F.C. has been woven into the fabric of her family since her grandfather helped establish the club - a place she has devoted her life to since taking her first steps on its pitch.
Attempts to remove her as Chairperson for calling on Ireland not to play Israel are shameful. Speaking out against Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people is an act of conscience, not something to be punished.

Solidarity with anyone peacefully standing with the victims' family but let's be clear: nobody rioted when these women died. The PSNI recorded 4,090 sexual offences in NI in 23/24. Nobody rioted. Most of the perpetrators are Northern Irish men.
