Japan also made an unbelievable transformation in the 19th century. From an isolated country that was falling behind the rest of the world to a world power and master of Asia in just a few decades. And after the war, Japan remade itself as the world leader in technology. Just an amazing country.

@haruki839 I have no idea if it's just down to the translation, but the original post from 314p159 asks its question ambiguously, so that it's unclear if it's asking if Americans eat more burgers than Japanese people do, or if Americans eat more burgers than they eat Japanese people.
