@charmiekapoor Couldn’t shake this thought on my recent trip. Similar experiences made me realise the gap is often just PR. Something as small as a zebra crossing can become a city’s visual memory when sold well. The difference between “ordinary” and “iconic” is care and a fresh coat of paint.

Have been thinking about this and couldn’t have explained it better. I truly believe we have one of the richest histories and architecture. All we need better design planning and marketing. Other countries have done far more with much lesser. They do the basics right and make you feel something by telling a good story. And yes, civic sense has a long way to go. But that starts when spaces inspires people to take pride in them.

@AnvikaMaini I think about this a lot. It’s a miss from their side. Their operating model is selling each figma tool incrementally. So “collaborator seat” vs “design seat” vs “dev seat”. IMO they should have one unified per seat pricing instead of doing Adobe wale harkatein

You know what I really really wish for, I wish I can have a figjam inside a figma.

The new generation of designers might not get to experience what it felt like to make a ✨ clean handoff ✨ in Figma. Different pages with flow names (and emojis) separated by dividers. Frames inside sections laid out perfectly. Arrow connectors, prototypes, and heavy annotations explaining every tiny decision. I've done this over and over so many times it's therapeutic. It also marked the "end" of a project for me. As I design more directly with code and AI, I’m starting to see how redundant this entire exercise will become.

@charmiekapoor Uff, the pure joy of putting it all together 🤌 Tho I think we designers will always find ways to color-code post-its and neatly lay out infinite boards. Maybe the AI tools adapt too from input fields back to canvases 🖍️😉
