Looking back a year ago, the sacrifices were worth it. My girlfriend will soon be my fiancé, I take breaks on weekends now, and I can finally give my partner what she deserves.
I received a job offer for "Head of AI" at a law firm.
$350k base salary and bonuses tied directly to the value I would bring.
I stopped saying "I graduated in 2023"
Now I say, "Here is what I have provided in value to these companies."
Whether or not I think I am ready for this position, it would be better to try it and grow into it than to just let myself stay complacent.

Not the anniversary my gf and I were hoping for, but it's the one we will remember the most. 10 years together on this day. I was hoping to have it all figured out before now so I can treat her out, pay off all our debts, finally propose and prove stability... but I'm a bit too late on that. we've had our good times ofc, but its been well over 3 years since we've been able to fully enjoy a relaxing weekend. Thankfully, I've had a few job offers and I'm starting a contract today from the looks of it... so marriage proposal before the end of the year for sure. But I can't tell you how much it hurts to sit here working while credit cards are maxxed out, no weekend hangouts until next month, and my gf in the other room with nothing to do because she's off work today. I don't think most people realize the sacrifice that is needed to succeed in this tech market and how grateful you should be to even attempt to earn insane wages. I know that I won't ever let it get this bad again. Over all exhaustion, frustrations, stresses, and emotions - I just have to keep going every day so I can give her the future she deserves... shoutout to everyone who has been in this arena before. the ones who truly understand.

For those learning programming, I truly recommend you read "A Tour of C++ and Programming: Principles and Practice Using C++",
both authored by Bjarne Stroustrup.
Get the basics well before you jump into Youtube videos or crazy boot camps.
As a Software Development Company owner, I have seen a lot of things and many programmers lacking basics.
It will help you more than you can imagine.

@ApexCoderr If you're on Mac then mac notes is superior and it syncs.
But for windows it the best note-taking app. Not bloated and on web like notion. Stores data locally. Zip it and use it somewhere else. It's complex but easy to get
