When Udayanidhi Stalin repeatedly attacks "sanathanam" in Tamil, why is there not more outrage among the highly religious Tamil Hindu population? I believe it comes down to language. In Tamil language, the word "sanathanam" (eternal in English) is not in regular use. Most Tamil people do not know this word and I did not know it myself as a child. On the other hand the word "dharma" (spelled as "dharmam" or "dharumam") is common in Tamil and there is a district named Dharmapuri in Tamil Nadu. There is also the word "aram" used in Tamil with the same meaning as dharma. Interestingly, in Hindi, the word "dharam" means "religion" in general and Hinduism is "hindu dharm" or "sanatan dharam" and Christianity is "isai dharam" in Hindi. But in Tamil usage, the word "dharmam" would effectively mean "Hindu dharam" in Hindi. Now if Udayanidhi had attacked "dharmam" in Tamil (which effectively means Hinduism) he would be widely criticised for proclaiming adharmam. That is why he is picking the word "sanathanam" to attack because that word is not widely known in Tamil. With all his "sincere" effort, he is making the word known in Tamil too and he has made the already huge anti DMK vote in Tamil Nadu even bigger. The DMK has never won a majority on its own ever, because of that huge strong anti-DMK current. They established that current with their constant attacks on Hindu deities. The AIADMK never did that and they harvested the anti-DMK current well. Now, in spite of the TVK being the new anti-DMK party and in spite of the AIADMK splitting the anti-DMK vote (see how I worked it!) and in spite of the DMK spending extraordinary amounts of cash, in spite of the DMK having a strong alliance and the TVK having no alliance, the DMK lost the election. Udayanidhi wants to ensure the DMK would never come back. May the eternal sanatana dharma grant his wish 🙏😉

Annamalai has won zero elections and zero seats in his entire political career. Still so many people are hell bent on proving that he's the future of the state and even country. Surely this is not organic but a paid campaign.

Amit Shah removed Annamalai to have alliance with ADMK. This alliance gave BJP just one seat. Annamalai increased the vote share to 11%. Amit Shah's move brought it down to 2.5%. Now majority of ADMK MLAs have terminated their relationship with NDA and going to support Vijay government. Amit Shah, considered as modern day Chankya by BJP, always gets Tamil Nadu wrong. Instead of repeatedly trying shortcuts, empower Annamalai to build the party in the state. It is going to be a really long term project.

Muslims are not ghettoised, rather, they prefer to live and raise their families within Muslim enclaves and environments where they feel secure and share cultural affinity. This sentiment exists among all communities (Sikh, Hindu, Christian etc.) as most people predominantly reside within their own social and cultural enclaves. There are certain places in urban centres where intermingling occurs and Muslims have a fair share of presence in those. Either everyone is ghettoised, or no one is. Preferring to live among their own people should not be an issue, that is a universal social tendency. The real issue arises when localities inhabited by certain groups face discrimination in infrastructure, civic facilities, investment, and development. The responsibility for that lies with the administration and political order which is Hindu majoritarian, not with the people residing there. It is a wrongdoing of your own people, do not project that on Muslims.

I left for bombay at 6.30 am like the hard working professional that I am & stopped the car at 7 am to make this reel as I’ve long realised that silence is not a virtue & one must speak up when they are disrespected. Yes if wrong things happen at any workplace that are against basic human rights, me & all of us should speak up.
