I think this direction of travel winds up being prurient and causing more problems than it solves. The idea that kissing is inherently sexual behavior causes people to think of it sexually, which tends to cause the lust that these people are desperate to avoid. So now anytime you’re tempted to kiss your girlfriend (or heck, physically touch her at all) it leads to thoughts of sexual intercourse. Like just being, I don’t know, normal about things is more likely to lead to healthier behavior instead of desperately trying to avoid anything at all whatsoever.
