Learning from @AquaNutProf on the impacts of potentially losing farmed salmon from British Columbia. Interestingly, Canada has produced 9.9 million more tonnes of CO2 emissions in two years due to importing more farmed salmon to offset the loss of production in BC and we could see a significant price increase of salmon to over $30/kg by 2026. 😳 #cdnpoli #bcpoli #aac2024 #bcsalmonfarmers #foodsecurity #foodaffordability #carbonemissions
