What's the point of Question Time? Speaker of the House Milton Dick turns on our veterans (to protect Anthony Albanese) by suspending Phil Thompson from the house for 24 hours after he exposed the Albanese government for lying. Well done, Phil, for sticking up for our veterans by refusing to withdraw the comments made about the government lying about benefits paid to veterans.🙄 Watch: #auspol @2worldsPodcast

Here's the truth they don’t teach you in school or the media. Back in the day, Australia was straight-up ripping babies from single mums — mostly young white working-class girls. From the 1940s to the 80s, there were tens of thousands of forced adoptions. Hospitals, churches and welfare workers drugged the mothers, forged their signatures, told them their baby had died at birth… all to hand the kids over to “respectable” married couples. There were also the Forgotten Australians — hundreds of thousands of mostly non-Indigenous kids dumped in institutions and often abused. Then the 1970s came and we completely flipped the script. We started handing out welfare payments, encouraging single motherhood. Now we subsidise it, celebrate it, and act like it’s empowering. But the forced adoptions story — the “white stolen generations” — gets almost zero airtime. One quick apology in 2013 and it’s buried. Why the selective memory? Because admitting the same authorities were brutal to poor white families too wrecks the neat narrative that only one group suffered and that “whiteness” is the root of all evil. They ignore it on purpose. It doesn’t serve the agenda of white hatred and division. Same country, same era, same state overreach — but only certain victims count. We should remember ALL of it. Not just the parts that fit today’s politics.
