@JsMaster11 @vesseloftauceti I love the environments. The UESC, the weapons, the art style. The gameplay, Vandal 😏. Just didn't like the PvP part of it. Soon I'll be happily putting in the hours as the game is adding something for the PvE guys. 😃

@ArodSnow @vesseloftauceti When it does I do hope you enjoy it! Personally, I really like the PVE in Marathon. UESC feels very strong and they are respectful ads. I personally like the additional threat of players, but I understand why others don’t.

@Jese_PowerGPU I'll be playing it a lot more when the PvE mode is added. I hardly ever play it as it is now unless my bro needs someone to run with. I'm not a PvP guy but the artstyle, visuals and gameplay are too good to pass up

The hate the Destiny community is putting on Marathon is the exact reason I left that community. Do I like Marathon no. Do I prey on its downfall no. I just don’t play it and move on. Will I try it again in the future sure. Destiny community is showing its toxic side again.

@MallowTheQueen I think reboot. Not a live service game. Make a new character along the lines of the Security Officer or Master Chief. A story game structured like a Halo game set in the Destiny universe. Ten campaign missions and a PvP mode

If we ever get Destiny 3, I'm kinda worried how exactly it'll be able to pick up the story. With such a large gap between D2 and D3, the main focus would need to be appealing to new player. Which is difficult given how broken D2's overall story already is, and where it ended.

@sc0nesandc0ffee Lightfall was a very MEH story at best that only redeemed itself in the last boss fight and mission. We barely got to know Rohan and yet we’re supposed to feel something when he died. Nimbus was just Bungies attempt at another Cayde type character. They were alright but not great

One last dragging for old times’ sake: Lightfall and its story was actually much better than people acted. A combination of CCs turning into shit-posting rage baiters and a narrative team that was simply too talented and wrote too high brow for most is why people think it’s bad. Also, 99% of the time if you swear up and down you hate Nimbus it’s homophobia/transphobia veiled as a poorly worded opinion.

@aiiygatorz I'm really looking forward to the PvE mode it's getting. I'm bad at PvP ngl. When Halo Infinite got firefight (PvE) I played it a lot more. It's my main game now. I suspect the same will be true of Marathon's PvE only mode. A new era awaits 😁

I have hardly seen any Marathon players “guilt” people into playing the game 😭😭 if ANYTHING… the most popular posts (about this topic) are people BLAMING and boycotting Marathon because of Destiny 2. Villainizing players who just love Marathon is weird. There is another side to every coin.

I'm going to be playing the shit out of this game when the PvE mode gets added to it. I'm so excited! I'm awful at PvP games, not hiding that. When Halo Infinite added firefight in 2023 it became my main game. Though IIRC the PvE only mode isn't being added until mid season 😭

Overall view: - Destiny 2 probably should have ended with Final Shape with Destiny 3 already incubating - If Destiny 2 was going to keep existing, it shouldn't have been what we got, which was badly handled - Marathon siphoned a ton of resources and there is no disputing that

Halo CE's remake ain't even out yet, and I already feel like the Halo Studios era is *worse* than the 343 era, when you take into all the reports of the toxic work culture and trend chasing that's coming to light. I fear Halo is doomed and being set up for failure.

@justahaloguy I've only read the Halo escalation comics. Loved the Halo 4 and Spartan Ops era so I wanted to know what took place between those and Halo 5. Wrapped up the Janus Key plot line so it made sense as to why it wasn't mentioned in Guardians

This is 100% my experience. I didn’t really start getting into the extended lore and books until after Halo 5. That game “revitalized” my love for Halo. Prior to that, I had read all the Bungie-era books though.
