His team has played exactly one team ranked higher than 100 on KenPom. They have 3 wins against teams rated 150th or better. He didn't make the tournament one time while at Xavier. Absolutely not.

This is Travis Steele. Head coach at Miami (OH). I feel like he has to be mentioned for what he's currently doing. Notably his team is ranked 23rd in the nation and is 24-0. He began his head coaching career at Xavier and although he never really got it going, he reached 19 wins every year outside of the covid season. He took over for a struggling RedHawks team in 2022 and has improved them every year. Clearly showing an ability to build a culture and have great success in the MAC.

If we can’t buy out of of Tang’s contract we need to fire Driscoll into the sun, bring in players who exclusively played football, rugby, or lacrosse as well as basketball, play murder ball, press all 40 minutes. If we are going to lose atleast make other teams dread playing us.

@guppyfresh @M_Vernon I think that has something to do with it. Last KU/KSU game in Manhattan he was in the locker room for quite a while during the game, so I think there's something there. Also some of these old school coaches just don't love the landscape anymore. Easier to hang it up.

@M_Vernon Seems like an odd retirement being only 58 and having just 7 seasons of D1 $ ranging from $2M to $5M per year, just two years at the $5M range with 6 years left on the deal. Hopefully he and his family are not dealing with some health issue.

I know some of you think I’m joking but I am serious when I point to all of these instances of national media members who cover college sports actually hating college sports. Advocating for literal back room overrides because a preferred school doesn’t win tiebreaker roulette.

This might be an unpopular take ... but if I'm the ACC and Cal upsets SMU, I override the tiebreakers and put Miami in the ACC championship game against Virginia.

@GreatArch93 @bsksu89 @KSUWindbreaker @Big12Conference If a player gets tackled OB on their own sideline between the 20s, it triggers a substitution mechanism automatically. It doesn't matter if that player leaves the game or not. The ref did everything right except looking to see if the subs were off the field. Which is a mistake.

@bsksu89 @KSUWindbreaker @Big12Conference You don’t have to sub just cause the ref is behind the center. Go back and check, Utah did not sub! The ref shouldn’t have been there but because they suck he was. K-State subbed 4 guys in sets of 2. 2 got off fast but the other 2 were barely jogging and y’all were offside 🤷

@krula @mikeeeeyoh @addshurtz4 The Cats had to call a timeout in the first half because Utah slow subbed using the EXACT same tactics. Big dudes just jogging off the field to burn clock. It's okay to say the officials flat out botched that scenario, at best. Because they did.

@Arott7 @mikeeeeyoh @addshurtz4 All night long, KState subbing was chaotic. They didn't know who was going in and took way longer than 3 seconds to even indicate they were subbing and then took an eternity to sub and clear the field. That's on KState.

I do not understand the referee, allowing Kansas state to sub only to then allow you to snap the ball and penalize them, absolutely insane.

@krula @mikeeeeyoh @addshurtz4 Doesn't matter if they did or not. If someone is tackled out of bounds on their sideline, that triggers substitution mechanics. There's no reason to let them snap the ball when the players were jogging off with 15+ seconds on the play clock. Poorly executed officiating at best.
