@_Afcbanks My memory is he was poor in midfield out of possession. Good if he was facing the ball, but constantly caught out of position and chasing back. My enduring memory was him scrambling back and giving away silly fouls.

@InvertTheWing Not good enough goalscoring wise. Works tirelessly and we are winning games with him playing, but it's difficult to know whether we can attribute any of that to him directly. Things will become clearer when Havertz is back. Think Ekitike was the striker Arsenal should have signed
English

@InvertTheWing Bergvall quality. Confident, positionally good, made vital interceptions & tackles. Great engine, passing range & technicality. Feel sorry for Gray - he remained composed even when up against it, just lacks physicality (which is expected of an 18yo playing out of position in CB)

Player Ratings:
Kinsky: 6
Dragusin: 2
Gray: 7
Porro: 3
Spence: 6.5
Bergvall: 7
Bissouma: 3
Sarr: 4
Kulusevski: 4
Solanke: 2
Son: 5
Maddison: 5
Johnson: 4
I don’t think Kinsky was poor at all. Most of the times he was getting pressed, I knew it wouldn’t come to anything serious. His biggest fault was the 2nd goal — other than that, decent enough for dominating his box.
English

@YankeeGunner Agreed. I think people are a bit too obsessed with this new 'striker' being a traditional no.9. In my mind, it should just be someone who can add goal contributions and fit the system. We see plenty of goals when the system works. Just needs a bit of variety and to be kept fresh.
English

Nico Williams and Pedro Neto should be on the list (though not strikers). But from this list, I think Isak ticks a lot of boxes for us. Osimhen is fantastic but I look how we’re playing the last two seasons with false 9s (especially right now) & I’m not sure I’d want to change it
Paddy@PaddyArsenal
Osimhen, Toney, Ferguson, Vlahovic, Sesko, Solanke, Boniface, Gimenez, Zirkzee, Gyokeres, Isak, Watkins Take your pick

@markgoldbridge So in this instance, VAR should simply convey what their decision would be based on all the info at hand, not be trying to decide how badly the ref got it wrong
English

@markgoldbridge This is the issue for me. What does a 'clear and obvious' error constitute? Too subjective for something that is meant to be as black and white as possible. VAR should simply be giving the ref a decision based on the rules of the game, NOT based on the on-field decision.
English

@fkhanage I think the opposition and type of game has an impact too. The atmosphere at the city and utd games earlier this season were great imo. We are up against more low blocks and play in a controlled, less explosive way now - so there are fewer extremes in our matches this season
English

@LeGrove Agree. A lot comparing this to Martinelli's situation but there have been hints in some interviews from Arteta that ESR needs to show more in training. Never any doubt about Martinelli's attitude and Arteta always made that clear. I think ESR could well be off this summer.

@SVCarbaholic Really hope we aren't complacent. We've done good business but we need to take the last couple of steps. We were always maybe 2/3 players away in the later Wenger years and I don't want to suffer through that again.
English

@redardtrader17 To be fair as an Arsenal fan, all clubs apart from City end up short if key players are injured in certain positions. Clubs are expected to basically have two classy 11s ready to go, which is crazy really! I think Spurs are in very good shape

If you’ve brought tickets from me can you reply under this tweet as I’ve got someone who is worried I’m a scammer @GlodzL

@Gunner2Jasper @afcstuff Yup, he did it twice early in the 1st half in this match, surrendered our good sustained pressure/attacks and almost gave away a goalscoring chance for Everton
English

Mikel Arteta fuming on the touchline with Ainsley Maitland-Niles’ cheap give away of possession. #afc twitter.com/iokmmmedia/sta…
English

@Tweetgood_Mac I suppose inherently there is more risk in having a smaller squad, but I think for teams with the relative financial power that Spurs and Arsenal have, having two classy 11s like City have managed to put together is not realistic. Need to funnel most of the funds into one 11
English

@Tweetgood_Mac As an Arsenal fan I agree with you. Conte knows what he needs to win, Arteta is still learning. I think Conte knows that he has players like Kane and Son in their absolute prime right now, so he wants to build a team that is ready to go immediately to take full advantage.

@SkyHelpTeam Ultra HD not working on sky sports premier league. It says “no programmes are currently being broadcast on this channel” despite it coming up on screen to watch in UHD?
English

@G00nergaz87 @Arsenal @m8arteta @JackWilshere If we move Elneny on is he not worth a punt as 3rd/4th choice CM on a low basic wage with performance bonuses? At worst he gives 100% every time he plays
English

@Arsenal @m8arteta As an arsenal fan i find it sad that we cant give one of our own - @JackWilshere a chance to reignite his career.
Someone who wants to play for the badge, a free transfer and i bet would bite ya hand off regardless of salary. Make it happen!
