The state of Florida is officially back to feeling like the surface of the sun. So I ask this question: What clothing brands do I need to wear to feel the most comfortable playing golf in say 95F and 85% humidity? I just bought three pairs of Redvanly shorts last night because they were so lightweight. What works best for you? #thanks

@JackLinFLL @grossap @mnmcsofgp I can imagine the panic that would set in if you saw your gauge doing that but you’re deep in a cave and want to turn back but four other people are in your way. You’d want to exit quickly, but any sort of panic and quick movements would cause you to blow through air so fast

So far all the information about the Italian divers that perished in the cave in Maldives is what everyone with diving experience assumed happened. Dunning-Kruger and nitrogen narcosis are a hell of a drug. For the love of God please never try to dive beyond your training.

@nypost As a lifelong SCUBA diver with more experience than most I guarantee you none of these people were qualified for this dive. They either lost their guideline or never deployed one. Someone kicked up silt and they swam in panicked circles until they drowned.

@grossap @mnmcsofgp @JackLinFLL Yes the air consumption is major. I dive in Cozumel and the deepest dive we have is The Devils Throat which is a swim through cave that starts at 80 feet and exits at 130. When I come out of the bottom I look at my gauge and just watch the air drop so fast even while being calm

@mnmcsofgp @Ascratchgolfer @JackLinFLL That's not cheating science - that's getting lucky. Even if you don't get narc'd easily, there's still the issue of how long your tank will last you at 150ft. And yes - people dove the Andrea Doria on air for years. And people died kinda on the regular....

@JackLinFLL @grossap None of it adds up. They were experienced enough to recognize the obvious danger. They just ignored everything we know about diving. Crazy. But then the Maldivian did the same thing? It just makes no sense

@Ascratchgolfer @grossap We so need to hear from the 6th diver that didn't go and survived. Others from the boat too. I wonder why the media is not finding these people.

@JackLinFLL @grossap I think it’s still speculation that he was also on an 80 with straight air. But if that’s confirmed that seems even wilder than the Italians. Like what? If your friend jumped off a bridge would you?

@grossap No but considering the Maldivian military divers was using 80's and regular air I don't think trimix was even available. And five sets of duals? Only one of them ever had basic deco training...

@InControl_Inc @EliteGolfDad Agreed. Get in the hole should only be yelled on a shot where that’s possible and it actually matters. So a tee shot on par five is stupid. However the most egregious are the guys yelling “mashed potatoes” or things like that. Yelling just to be heard. Jail time. 5 years minimum

@EliteGolfDad It’s pretty simple, if the PGA would just start black balling dudes who yell dumb stuff then it would stop. Cheering for a player or wowing at a putt are fine, yelling “get in the hole” when teeing off in a par 5 should get you shipped out.

Hi. Guys at golf tournaments. If, umm. If you could simply shut up. No, no. No rebuttal. Just shut up. You’re not funny. You’re not cute. You’re not witty. You’re an idiot. We all think so. We all hate you. Your wife and kids are embarrassed by you. So. Shut up.

NYT confirms — with new details: Last year, Navy SEALs used two boats to escort Kash Patel and nine others on what a Pentagon email called a 'VIP Snorkel' next to one of the military's most sacred sites, the underwater tomb of the U.S.S. Arizona. One Navy vet called the swim "horrifying." nytimes.com/2026/05/15/us/…

@Top100Rick I’ve been on the toilet in the clubhouse as my tee time is drawing near many times. Better to take the two shots than to have it hit you in the second hole

This is crazy. Garrick Higo gets a 2 shot penalty for being 1 minute late to the tee! Is this too much of a penalty? I say no. You got one job. You get there on time. Now, maybe they dole out some penalties for slow play while they are at it!

This one might ruin someone's day... “I’m always in play” is the biggest lie high-handicap golfers tell themselves. Scratch golfers miss fairways, too. The difference? When they miss, 12% of drives end in a penalty or recovery shot. For 30+ handicaps, it’s 45%. Nearly half. Your tee shots aren't killing your score because you miss fairways. It’s because your bad drives are just...really bad.

@BendelowGreens My friends that aren’t good will miss so many putts on the low side and have too far left for a tap in. They just can’t aim high and let it nestle near the cup

Lag putting is one of the quickest ways to drop scores. A golf skill that doesn’t get the attention it should. It’s one of the fastest ways to improve especially for higher handicap players. Everything outside 15 feet for most players should be considered a lag and shocker…..is 95% about getting the speed right. Get a general line and let your natural intuition get the speed. Sometimes they might even go in.

@freddydoubles It’s just entertainment bro. No reason to get butthurt. If you don’t think it’s funny or entertaining then don’t watch it. There’s plenty of other things to watch if you prefer something else

@rossmacleodputt The weakest part of my game was missing short putts. With my DF3 I can line them up so perfectly and start them on that line. It was most clear improvement my game has ever seen with a simple club change

I don’t think anyone disputes that feel is important to good putting. So why is everyone now using putters that make you “feel” less?

Then the rounds would be faster Then the tv product would be better Then more people would watch Then more advertisers would be involved Then more amateurs would learn from the pros how to play faster. Then we could play all play quicker golf. Besides that nothing.

@Top100Rick It’s a result of having great hip rotation. If I never need to hit it left I think of this movement before my shot. You turn your hips like this and it’s just never going right

What’s the one thing you notice? This video of Cam Young’s swing is going viral. I’m curious what normal golfers see here. What stands out to me is the head movement. It goes so far back on the downswing. No head still here.
