Something I told 14 yo: There's a kind of politician who tells people "Your life is bad because <outgroup> stole what's rightfully yours. Vote for me and I'll get it back for you." They do it on both the left (Lenin) and right (Hitler), and they're invariably bad news.

@mehdirhasan I thought the word nazi literally referred to the “National Socialist Party of Germany”? At least that’s what I had heard. I’ve heard that the problem with it was that they were socialists who only believed in socialism for their specific in-group.

@MrTCHarris You can not silence or discredit us by actively choosing to be ignorant to the bigger picture of the situation. Trans people are not only being barred from restrooms, but even from things like medical screenings for breast cancer!!! Open your mind, or shut the actual fuck up.

If trans women "just want a place to pee", then a third, neutral space will be more than adequate. If they reject that, then we will know they want something other than "a place to pee".

As a trans girl, I use the woman's bathroom when I'm out & about. I have for a bit over three years now.. I thought id take the time to share a list of all the times other woman have had a problem with me being there, 1. They havent.. not once.

Trans women feel safer from men, in women’s spaces.

Umm yeah - what woman is going to risk her safety to confront a full grown man who clearly has mental issues and a fetish for invading women’s private spaces. Women spend their entire lives learning how to avoid creepy men who have no understanding of boundaries. If you were actually a woman you’d understand this because you’d have spent your life avoiding men like you and learning how to to placate them if you ever are forced into confrontation just to secure your safety until you can flee or find help.
