@ARanganathan72 Well, cricket lovers demography has evolved, IF it takes years to sink in, LET IT BE! Fans in India and elsewhere, who love great rivalries and exciting unscripted match stories unfold, aren't complaining. So, better to not amplify bad press or use clickbait for personal reason!

17 wickets fall in a day at Eden Gardens, India: terrible pitch, what a shame, this is not what cricket lovers want to see. 19 wickets fall in a day at Perth, Australia: true pitch, what brilliant bowling, this is exactly what cricket lovers want to see.

@NorwayChess Well done Gukesh! But Magnus seems to be losing his reputation as well and not just his title with such an outburst! Perhaps FIDE can review this @FIDE_chess and issue some statement?

@devisridhar Every big and disruptive innovation has needed an improved governance and regulation as per the era. The present dominance of human race is a direct result of such practices since time immemorial and we've navigated around it well till now. So, let's be +ve and vigilant about AI.

@svaradarajan Pls also refer to - Article 19(2) of the Indian Constitution, that outlines reasonable restrictions on the freedom of speech and expression. These restrictions are necessary for the protection of several factors including the sovereignty and integrity of India .. (contd)

3.49 Lakh citizens out of 20.5 Lakh have not paid their #property tax. Out of which 1.73 Lakh are chronic defaulters and 1.76 Lakh are current year defaulters. In total they owe Rs 390 Crores to BBMP. All notices, SMSes, IVRS Calls, personal calls, attachment notices have failed to make these chronic defaulters to pay. Even OTS they did not avail and are deliberate and chronic defaulters. For many many years they have not paid property tax. Letting such citizens off is totally unfair to honest tax payer. Anyone speaking for these 10% chronic defaulters are standing against 90% honest tax payers and against public interest. BBMP is clear and determined to collect the property tax as per law. Please support BBMP morally in its drive against these persistent and chronic tax defaulters. Munish Moudgil Special Commissioner (Revenue) #BBMP #BBMPCares #DKShivakumar #bbmpchiefcommissioner

@DPrasanthNair @svaradarajan Well said, some experienced professionals act weird to changing trends (journalism style here), and do not use their experience to stay focused on the big picture!

Looks like a case of sour grapes for you....but let's get the picture right. The big story is the intense personal bond between the two leaders. It's also about India walking away with gains to show. As described by someone, it was a master class by our PM. Let's focus on the big story rather than get into small and insignificant parts like what you described in your message

Sadly for the reputation of India as a serious world power, the MEA encouraged the idiotic rhetoric and conspiracy theories of Modi bhakts and other loonytune Hindutva rightists to intrude into the Trump-Modi press encounters, where the performance of these uber nationalists just made India look silly. Exhibit 1, the idiotic question on the “US deep state under Biden conspiring with Soros” to overthrow the Hasina dictatorship. The godi media fool who asked the question must have been taken aback by Trump’s stout denial! Exhibit 2, one of the Indians praised Trump for “your fantastic 24 days of presidency” and then asked if USAID had interfered with elections in the US and India! I am not sure what Trump understood of her nuttiness but one thing he said did stand out: that he would be cleaning up the electoral process in the US and the first thing to be done was to bring back paper ballots! Now that’s something Modi Bhaktas in India just don’t want to talk about! Exhibit 3, another Indian reporter wanted to know how the US expects India to help it “beat China” when he is imposing tariffs. It was left to Trump to say, somewhat statesmanlike, that he actually didn’t want to beat anyone! The buzz in DC is that the MEA/Embassy helped these reporters get access to the press spray and press conference while sensible, seasoned journalists who might ask proper questions to Modi and Trump were kept away! Sadly, the shitshow the godi gang put up did Viksit Bharat and ‘MIGA’ no credit.

@Parul_Gautam7 I've spent lot of time at SwissTPH (10+ yrs), wud agree that they are top savers among OECD countries. Renting is common cos real estate is very costly & it takes more & more money to afford the house over time due to high interest rates. So, new gen finds renting less hassle!

I am Telugu. Husband is Tamizh. Each of us can understand the other's language but cannot form a conversation. Our common language - Hindi. Hindi helped us bond better. I am glad both of us know Hindi. English would have been super weird within family. I encourage everyone to learn an Indian language apart from mother tongue and Hindi is the best bet. At the same time entitled IT immigrants expecting locals in Bengaluru to converse in Hindi with them is annoying.

L&T is a symbol of modern day slavery. The slavery of lower class. All that glittering glass facade you see. The people who made it don't even get a glass of water there. BTW Sunday working Subramanyam's salary is 37 Cr +. See the site worker's salary in L&T Constructions

@RajeshSreerag The point you raise and the chatter that followed, where people are using literal words like sh*ting, etc is shameful. Most of these -ve chatters would likely be not competent enough to have reached top leagues of any fraternity! Pls don't belittle country's talent needlessly 🙏

@MuthaNagavamsi @bhash @Microsoft Exactly, and if needed, govt can ask them to localise cloud storage for sensitive domains, but if local cloud companies can't compete with own USP to justify their services, they would then have failed in making their mark.

On the @Microsoft outage, here’s the main thing I feel we can do. Outages are momentary with no deliberate intent to cause harm. Can happen once in a while to any company. But it represents an outcome that could also happen due to deliberate action by bad actors and intentions. And since 80% of our data is stored outside India, we won’t be able to do anything. Govt needs to recognise the risk of our data residing globally and bring more stringent data localisation norms and action to address these risks.

@bhash @Microsoft That's weird, coming from a leading Indian startup guy! Unless your innovation is merely a cut-paste model of Uber, you will surely know that govt can only facilitate industrial policy, but cannot act like a bleeding public sector or a protectionist regulator, BTW, do you R&D 😉

@ambkcsingh Is it? Why is it so difficult to call a spade a spade? Same could be said about your clarity of thought even after all these decades? Calling transition of power over decades even though making it appear to be stitched out of democracy is still dynastic, isn't it?

Makes me cringe to think that this diplomat belongs to the service I spent 34 years in. He’s entitled & perhaps duty bound to contest a critical edit. But picking on past “dynastic” parties is partisan and gross. Especially as you say when Code of Conduct is in place.

An utter shame for the "World's largest democracy." X @X now says it will publicise all the take down orders sent to it by India's @ECISVEEP in the interests of public transparency. Why are mostly the tweets of Opposition parties being taken down? What about Sanghi trolls who hurl any and every abuse and slander at everyone? x.com/i/trending/178…

@suhasinih It seems you are missing to highlight the main issue, that the diplomat has pointed out the strength of Indian democracy. And rest is his narrative of how to qualify his main narrative. What's your main narrative - diplomat's list of demerits of dynasty politics or his praise?
