@slavov_n This is amazing. And during stress when there is sudden halt of rRNA production triggers chaperone stirred condensation of orphan ribosomal proteins. Cells has planB ( preservation model) in stress situation. Here is the link of the study doi.org/10.1038/s41556…

Transcriptional over-expression of genes coding for ribosomal proteins does not elevate protein levels. Protein levels remain stable because the excess subunits are degraded. Inhibition of the proteasome leads to the accumulation of insoluble aggregates.

@Asifcellbio Great piece! We just had a paper out where we found Tpk3 (a PKA subunit in yeast) forms foci during stress that relocalise to nuclear ring structures in the absence of Hsp42. Perhaps this works by a similar mechanism. doi.org/10.1016/j.celr…
