In his war on Iran, Trump committed every mistake in the book: 1. Trump achieved far less than Obama in 2015 at a horrendous cost. 2. Trump did not understand that the Iranians could seize control of the Hormus Strait & bomb the Gulf states. 3. He did not realize that the global economy could be severely disturbed by blockage of the Gulf. 4. The US had not acquired defense against Iranian Shahed drones, which Ukraine had developed to perfection. 5. The US wasted many very expensive missiles on cheap targets. 6. The US & Israel thought they could accomplish regime change by killing many Iranian leaders, not understanding the nature of the regime. 7. Trump alienated all allies by being rude & obnoxious. The only good thing that can be said about this foolish US war is that Trump accepted defeat after three months, but now the US stands alone & appears a symbol of incompetence & folly.

@Kama_Kamilia probably because Gabbard’s resignation was due to her husband developing a rare, aggressive form of cancer. Could see how the child of a prominent political figure who also died of an aggressive cancer may find that uncouth

It is genuinely remarkable how casting one black person in The Odyssey has caused the world's richest human to go on a weeks-long tantrum, over a movie that he hasn't even seen. No matter how rich you are, posting still gets you. It's the most powerful force in the universe.

The show writers turned Homelander into a Trump analogue, and this is how they choose to end The Boys. This entire show was just a deranged sexual humiliation fantasy projected onto Trump. They can't even produce a decent superhero parody without injecting their twisted fetishes into every script.

@GShaneMorris It’s almost like that’s telling us something: The tech elites see an historic opportunity to seize control of every aspect of human society, and they’re surging until something stops them or one of them “wins”

This is astonishing. Butlerian Jihad stuff. Listen to the boos and jeers. I'm a millennial. My dad was in IT. I grew up through all the major milestones of the digital era. I've never seen a new technology pushed with this kind of arrogance, or inspire this kind of backlash.

@LukeMiani One clear upside for those currently in control is padlocking social mobility, access to markets, & basically the ability for small businesses & independent creators to make enough money to grow, much less to compete. AI accelerationism is a surge for total control of everything

Serious question: what is the endgame of all this? AI can only be useful by synthesizing human information. What happens when Google stops directing traffic to human written sites? They stop being viable, which causes the amount of available information to drop. That leads to either: 1) AI using AI to generate AIR, which is a terrifying slop death spiral, or 2) The internet becomes unusable not only hellscape Not sure what the fuck these companies think they’re doing

Within one 24 hour period, Trump: - got out of a $100 million IRS fine - secured "immunity" from all future tax investigations for his family and friends - created a $1.8 billion slush fund for lawbreaking supporters - was reported for likely insider trading worth nearly $1 billion All of the obvious things to say about this are true. It's bad. Nobody even tries to defend it. The closest thing to a defense you get is something about how "but Democrats suck" and "woke was also bad," which is not a defense, but rather a kind of moral blank check made out to the administration to give them the right to do anything. But what I'm most curious about is whether this sort of lurid corruption creates a countermovement that successfully returns government to rule of law or whether it's establishing a norm of executive imperialism that every future administration will use to achieve its ends, which can always be justified by the moral blank check of "the other side is worse, so let us do whatever we want."

🚨Justice Department Announces Anti-Weaponization Fund: Part of settlement agreement in President Donald J. Trump v. Internal Revenue Service Per the settlement, plaintiffs will receive a formal apology but no monetary payment or damages of any kind. There are no partisan requirements to file a claim. Any money left when the Fund ceases operations will revert to the Federal Government. There is legal precedent for such a Fund, most notably the “Keepseagle” case where the Obama Administration created a $760 million fund to redress various claims alleging racism against the federal government over a period of decades. Liberals in Brookline, an affluent suburb of Boston, voted by a 20-point margin to RAISE their property taxes by 18% - a $23.25 million tax override. And they’re CELEBRATING it! Massachusetts residents already pay some of the highest property taxes in America. INSANE! #mapoli

@dylantjohnson91 @dccommonsense A travesty because Trump and his minions weren't cuffed, perp walked, and thrown in real, physical prison, or because Russia does white-Christian supremacy better than we do, so being more like them is good, actually?

@dccommonsense I can easily agree with you on many of your criticisms of Trump. He’s just a man. I don’t care. However, just once I’d like you to show you’re truly independent and offer some actual criticisms of democrats and their corruption. Take Russia gate for example. That was a travesty

Why do people write tweets like this? Where every sentence gets a new line. Sometimes a line might have two sentences. Like this one. But generally speaking, every sentence has a new line, making a tweet look like a long block of text that no one reads. Worse still, such tweets are often repetitive and winding, hammering on the same point over and over again. The writing is often very bad.
