Girder is being casted at the site between HBR & CR, because the area is inaccessible for heavy vehicles to transport them from casting yard.

Now the construction of S.G. Barve Marg and Tilaknagar Stations of MML-2B have taken up pace, and also the girders over HR & CR have also arrived at the site(cannot be seen in the pics), Painting works have also begin near Barve Marg station (1/3)

Tilaknagar station's Roof structure is done, only roof is yet to be installed, and we can also see the construction progress of the Elevated Kurla 7&8 platform's UP-RAMP from Tilaknagar side. (Sorry for the pic quality).

@AttackerOP429 It is only one line, Only One on one side. At some places it is on left because of land and on right on some places.

CIDCO has released tenders for Appointment of Consultant for Obtaining CRZ Clearance, Forest Clearance and other applicable Clearances for the proposed Metro Line- 8 (CSMIA-NMIA). If everything goes as per plan, construction would start soon as soon as all permissions are there.

So, Mumbai’s new non-AC local with automatic doors uses the same body as AC locals… just without AC. Feels like going backwards, first AC trains, now converting them into non-AC versions. Why not just roll out more AC trainsets? 🤔🚆

@rajtoday We dont need door closing. We need all trains with 18 coaches. No one will need to hang out of the door and no one will fall. Treat the disease not the symptoms.

Oven on wheels? Will the ventilation work? Will the big open windows be of any help? Besides this, the concerns are of door closing may delay and detain trains and the unsynchronized configuration of coaches vis a vis existing trains. Too many questions as India's first non-AC door closing local train arrives in Mumbai.
