In 1996, Arjuna Ranatunga & Dav Whatmore did the unthinkable, giving Sanath Jayasuriya & Romesh Kaluwitharana total freedom to attack the first 15 overs. People called it madness. It became a masterstroke. Jayasuriya and Kaluwitharana made it successful. Kaluwitharana did not get as much appreciation. This is mostly because he had a shorter career and some inconsistency. But his impact on cricket lasted much longer than his career. He was one of the main guys who changed ODI cricket and made attacking in the powerplay mainstream.

When Congress won Telangana, Karnataka and Himachal, elections were Fair? Don't blame your incompetence on EC. The thought of voters weren’t really looking beyond DMK or AIADMK, did not allow BJP going solo. In hindsight, going alone might actually have been the better call.

BJP missed a golden opportunity of ant-incumbency in TN Calculation went wrong, that people won’t vote for third party other than DMK, AIADMK If they would have projected Annamalai as CM candidate and gone alone like in MP election, this would have given edge to the party with massive craze he created. Heard @smritiirani on news after a long time. Still one of the best debaters in the country, across party lines. Still remember 2013/14, when she, Nirmala Sitharaman and Meenakshi Lekhi were consistently holding their ground in tough debates, against hostile panels and anchors.

Good that Vijay/TVK is not largely dependent on anyone to form the Government. No politics of compulsion. Next 5 years of governance's success/failure will be solely on them. #electionresult2026
