unpopular opinion but you should always be honest with people, even if it upsets them. personally i‘d rather have someone be upset with me for being too honest than lying. but being honest also doesn’t mean you can be a mean person.

@MuseMallow The problem is an over saturated market. Vtubers are by the millions and they are all the same. It is rare then hens teeth to see anyone with actual talent or creating worthwhile content

Can I be a bit spicy? Most VTuber models aren't the problem. The problem is creators haven't built a character, or shown a personality that people want to follow. You can have the most beautiful model in the world, but if you don't put time or effort into showcasing a personality or character that people will enjoy, or one that you can actually upkeep (your actual personality, something that you can easily slip into, etc) then all you will have is the gorgeous model. The opposite is the same. You can have the most scuffed, goofy looking model but if you're interesting, if you're funny, if you're a personality that draws people in? You're going to have interaction, and you're going to grow a community. You have to put effort into being a VTuber, yes, but you also have to know where to actually allocate the effort too.

I actually watched some of this VRCA. All I have to say is "I have never seen a more clear cronyism and back patting. This was literally just jerking each other off over mediocrity." Really I expected better

@LiindyVR Be honest Lindy. The items suck. They are just basic bullshit items from 2018 that no one wants or needs any more. They are as pointless as spring joints for the armless and shamelessly added as distraction from their glaring connection to Persona.

I have a lot of opinions about the released VRChat items so far, and not all my opinions are positive. And it's not because I don't want them to make money, but a lot of the items just feel rushed and unpolished and often come with glaring bugs or animation issues.

Guys, I just realized I might actually be addicted to VRChat. The servers are down and I can’t even get in. I genuinely don’t know what to do with myself right now. This is getting a little too concerning.

I don't know why I find it funny that the server went down during the VRCA. It might be the "circle jerk" nature of award shows or cronyistic behaviour.

@AudacityVRC Light volumes has me wondering if I even need LTCGI anymore. This is absolutely insane, I am really surprised I don't see light volumes being used more when I hop around.

So I have a visual setup now with LTCGI + Light Volumes. So all locations in Oasis 3 are going to be using the absolute most new tech on pretty much every front. Light volumes in particular are pretty insane. The only missing piece for Oasis 3 setup will be modifying ProTV for multiple simultaneous locations and double video players. So this is going to be really different from past things I have done before. There is going to be a lot of new world uploads and each of them will have various locations. Some will be specific to a community while others will be sections of The Oasis available for anyone to use for their own events.
