The Fed is now great at preventing financial collapse, but that may be WHY the affordability crisis lingers instead of resetting. It can stabilize banks and asset prices, but can't build homes or raise real incomes. The system is adapting, perhaps too well, AROUND the sickness.

Air travel is a modern marvel. You have unemployed, depressed people posting from their parents’ basements 'everything is broken' and 'the end is near' nebulously while back in reality, global infrastructure go brrrrr and normal people are enjoying their lives

We’re making polarization worse, not better. History is full of countries that paid dearly after failing to mend civil relations.

When I work with the right, I focus on emotion rather than facts. That almost always works. Even if you reach just 10% common ground, that’s 10% more than you had before.

But that said, when we focus on just those things, and not the the overlapping things we share in common, we damn ourselves to pendualism, stagnation, and potentially civil war.
