@KUTnathan There will be no train. Hopefully the Equity Monorail fiasco wakes up more Austinites to the tactics and ineptitude of these woke marxist fruitcakes managing Austin into the ground.

"What is he thinking?!" Mayor Kirk Watson texted a staffer as ATP pursued a $32 million office lease at 100 Congress Ave. AT KUT Fest, CM Paige Ellis agreed the plan was "tone-deaf," but said the dispute showed Project Connect oversight is working. kut.org/transportation…

Embarrassing actions from UT, canceling the @KUT Festival for no good reason. UT’s claims of safety/planning problems keep getting skewered. Seems like UT is afraid controversial subjects will be discussed on campus! Alumni and donors are watching. kut.org/education/2026…

Disappointed Waymo didn’t show up to yesterday’s Public Safety & Mobility meeting. People deserve transparency when it comes to safety on our streets. This isn’t partisan, it’s public safety. Reach out to your reps and to Waymo. Accountability only happens if we demand it.

I read that Kubrick took 8 weeks to film the scene where the sniper had you pinned down on the wall in order to put you guys in the right frame of mind for a war. Legendary. You were perfect in that movie.

Barack Obama@BarackObama·
Today’s Supreme Court decision effectively guts a key pillar of the Voting Rights Act, freeing state legislatures to gerrymander legislative districts to systematically dilute and weaken the voting power of racial minorities - so long as they do it under the guise of “partisanship” rather than explicit “racial bias.” And it serves as just one more example of how a majority of the current Court seems intent on abandoning its vital role in ensuring equal participation in our democracy and protecting the rights of minority groups against majority overreach. The good news is that such setbacks can be overcome. But that will only happen if citizens across the country who cherish our democratic ideals continue to mobilize and vote in record numbers - not just in the upcoming midterms or in high profile races, but in every election and every level.
