I've filled in PIP forms for both my adult sons. Non verbal autism and SLD. One with cerebral palsy also. It was a lengthy, stressful process. They will remain unaffected by the changes as we're knocking 8 and 12 pointers out of the park in this house. They contribute to their LA care plans from PIP/UC. I've helped people fill them in who suddenly find themselves carers and also known people who, a blink of an eye beforehand had been Starmers 'working people'. A friend with cancer. Off work for the Christmas break and discovered bowel cancer. I helped with the forms as they were too overwhelmed to know what to do. They sadly died age 32 with a toddler 💔 a family member, a teacher of over 30 years who had a life changing brain infection. I could go on, but the point is this. You may be born disabled and unable to work. You may become disabled or seriously ill in an instant and unable to work. All are deserving of support. None are scroungers. Lastly, the carers. Undeserving of this worrying time also. May lose their measly 83 quid a week. I wonder how much it would cost the country if the unpaid carers gave up?
