like all corrections, consensus probably works best in low-knowledge/low-polarization contexts. We also did not find degree of consensus mattered too much. Also see the awesome meta-analysis by @AvStekelenburg journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.11… (which already featured the above data)

New in @SciPublic - GM/vax consensus effects in Spain. For GM, we find (direct!) effects not only on attitudes but also policy support. This is rare in prior work. 1 reason: GM misperceptions esp widespread here. Conversely, no effect for vax (low misp). journals.sagepub.com/doi/epub/10.11…
