We are now at 18! AJA has been tipped off that 18 separate mosques and Islamic centres across Australia are glorifying and mourning the murderous Ayatollah. Blue, no matter who, is really an unhelpfully voting philosophy, especially if the Blue is more of a different shade of red. You are taking a gamble that more Blue policies will eventuate when your blue candidate has at best a Red/Blue policy mix in their governing history.

And just to be absolutely clear genocide and the perpetrators of it should not be treated with decorum and grace. And citizens should not be beaten/arrested in the streets for exercising legal demonstration against said genocide. There is no grey area here.

My calls for self regulation of the Islamic faith in Australia is requiring nothing more of Islamic religious leaders than any other faiths in Australia. I am asking for Islamic leaders to regulate and provide stronger protections against radicalisation within the Islamic faith community for the benefits of their own community and our wider Australian society. As I said in the speech, if there similar weaknesses in other faiths, including my own, the same requirements should apply.
